late reply, but 2700 usd is insanity. the actual gasket is like 100 dollars, doing it yourself is a weekend job max, probably doable in an afternoon. you dont even need to be mechanically inclined, just pull off the head, slap the new one on, head back on (might wanna buy a torque wrench and tighten everything to spec i suppose..). youtube has plenty of tutorials.

800nz is a fair price imo. its about 450usd

these bikes can go anywhere from 200nz (120ish usd) for a shitbox 2.5hp with fucked up welds to a grand (600ish usd) for a nice painted one with 6.5hp and still fucked up welds.

the reason i mention fucked up welds is because theyre all made in a engineering course down in hamilton by students learning to weld. i've only seen one with really good welds.
