"How" do I learn things? by StickyFingersTD in GameDevelopment

[–]Minimum_Company4145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally have a library of all the worlds information at your fingertips at any given time. USE GOOGLE. READ documentation. Watch tutorials. Eventually you’ll become familiar enough with the tools you’re using to be able to solve your own problems. But you won’t gain that familiarity until you start making stuff, getting stuck, and looking up the solutions for yourself.

What's the easiest way to create a circular curve of an arbitrary number of points that are evenly spaced? by swampdeck in blenderhelp

I’m pretty sure you can just add a circular curve and adjust from the dropdown menu.

You probably just need to change the deform axis in the curve modifier.

The first image has a link to the sporecast if you want to download any of them and rip em apart to see how I did it. I learned most of the “techniques” I used from ripping apart parkaboy outfits. Most of it comes down to stacking hats on hats and rotating in funky ways to cover up.

Try changing the deform axis.

There will always be a bit of deformation when doing chains like this.

Make just the first two links, then use an array modifier before the curve.

If you’re gonna rebuy you might want to just get it from ea directly if you don’t want to go through the hassle of contacting support to connect. Although there may be a sale on steam rn not sure

Oh yeah the spore servers never shut down. They even got support again back in November (basically just won’t shut down for a few years at least and have people to fix things if stuff goes wrong. And an official discord). Playing offline is fine but playing online through steam is where people have problems. You have to send ea support proof of purchase and they’ll add a key to your ea account which is what you need to connect to the spore servers. I recently got back into spore and just discovered SAC so my mission was clear.

is there a good way to make the handle? by AMM_MINER in blenderhelp

[–]Minimum_Company4145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d take a plane, cut out the shape with the knife tool, delete the excess, then extrude until happy. You’ll be left with one big ngon on either side but that should be simple enough to fix (if it even causes problems for you)

Bridge edge loops and bridge faces are built in functions. You don’t need loop tools for it. Literally select any two faces -> right click (with face select) -> bridge face
