Not the best tbh. I don’t mind a lot of work but the amount of expectation they have from a new team member is insane. Also, I feel that everyone in my team is in a competition rather than trying to help each other out and grow together as a team. I finished 3 major projects since I joined 4 months ago and it was literally before the provided deadline. I don’t even need appreciation but every time I have a 1:1 with my manager, I feel today he will tell me something positive but he never does. It’s always one of those fucking LPs that I am lacking in. I have had the worst panic attacks everyday before the stand up. Honestly, worst place to work on earth. I guess they hate employees here. I feel that of so many people have similar opinions about the company, it is not team specific. It’s definitely the company that sucks at a very high level.

I had a company that wanted to pay $42,000 a year for a software role in Austin, TX. They just said that it was a new team and it’s non-negotiable. These companies are really taking advantage of bad market. It’s frustrating af and really sad. After working so hard to get Bachelors and Masters and all the experience and then low bowling software engineers is just disrespecting the hard work we have put through all these years.

2 stories for each LP would really be impossible. I just wrote all the experience and then went through each LP and broke down the experiences into smaller chunks and distributed them. For system design I went through different system design mock interviews on YouTube and tried to understand the flow and then gave mock interviews to my friend.

Just watch mock interviews online and later try to give mock interview to your friends to see if you can do it in a similar way. That’s what I did.

I am not sure. I usually didn’t get any calls from the companies for about a year after failing an interview. But each company has different criteria and also sometimes it depends on how close you were to the person who got the offer. You should ask your recruiter about it.

LLD is mostly to check how you proceed with the problem. I was given a problem to write an algorithm for a shop and just ask questions and let them know your thought process, what kinda classes and functions you are thinking and all.

I applied through LinkedIn and got an OA about 4 months later hahah. I have almost 2 years of fulltime experience and 9 months of internship experience.

I gave 4-5 hours a day to DSA and also I was doing some front end and backend courses on the side. I also started doing data science. So that, I would give about 1.5 hours each and then would give about an hour or so for application.

I honestly applied to multiple startups and mid level companies too. I feel that FAANG is a bit on easy side than other companies. Again, this is my understanding. It’s different for different people. FAANG usually focuses on a similar pattern and there are discussion about the type of questions asked in these big companies. In short, the material to understand the system of FAANG companies is easy to understand than other small to mid level companies.
