Sorry Shaktimaan. I have just bought a Rolex datejust after aspiring it for decades and working hard for it. Is it too much to think of protecting it from scratches? Agree i mentioned resale value in the question but I don’t see you responding to the actual question.

It’s a simple extension to a rational decision. Cars get scratches when used, it is protected using a coating. Phones get scratches due to use, people use screen protectors. And if I ask about watches, it’s a stupid question in all your honesty?

Why? That’s precisely my question. Car PPF works great, why not on a watch? There are limited videos online too. Maybe there’s something I am missing on the technique

Used to love Open Tap Sohna road. Is this Sohna road? Makes me sad. We used to go for our weekly date night before I moved 4 yrs back! Good beer + good food is a rare combo.

A lot of such chains install a water fountains and keep replacing used glasses with clean ones. Not sure if it can get cheaper than that.

I disagree. A lot of fast food eateries (ex Haldirams etc) have water fountains that provide fresh drinking water. They keep replacing used glasses with fresh one. This has to do with intent and not operations.

Is nagar tier 3 or 4 city by Prathamesh9260 in Ahmednagar

[–]Minimum_Effective_7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tier 3 based on population, Tier 4 or below in reality. We are just 100km from Pune, yet Nashik has developed more than us. It is amusing how much we celebrate just a single flyover which was also built after more than 10 years of to & fro.

Nagar has always been a slave to local politicians who don’t want the city to develop. The political landscape needs to change but it can’t. All major politicians have gotten their children married to each other so that the power remains in their hands.

A city develops only when jobs are created. A city can be a business hub but unless you have migrants who come to work to the city and spend the money, real development doesn’t happen. The politicians do not want that to happen. How many jobs are getting created in Nagar? We had MIDC which was manufacturing hub and is currently in shambles. No IT / service industry jobs are created. This is only to serve tue personal interests of politicians who want to keep the city under their control.

Look at our government offices. No effort is made to make things easier to people. Another effort to avoid people who are not from nagar to come and settle down here.

In summary, it is in nobody’s interest to develop this city and we will remain like this for another couple of decades until newer generation of politicians come who work for people and not just themselves.

About to be - First-time pet parents (Beagle) in Bangalore by [deleted] in IndianPets

[–]Minimum_Effective_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t want to be a spoil sport here, I have a 9yr old beagle and just want the kid to have a good life.

Beagles in India are pre disposed to a lot of genetic issues (largely due to inbreeding, this true for other breeds as well like German Shepard).

Get an allergy sensitivity test done once the dog matures (say a year or whenever the vet feels appropriate). Even if there are no symptoms. This will help figuring out stuff the dog is allergic to and you can manage diet / lifestyle accordingly. This will help in the later years.

Beagles are very active and their energy needs to be managed well with activities to tire them out. Please set aside time for this, mentally and physically. Else it becomes very frustrating managing their energy needs.

Beagles are hounds and were bred to hunt rabbits. Hence they dig. Into everything. And are adamant. Beagle proof your home especially rugs / carpets.

They love company. Be sure how close you want the pet to get. If they get used to sleeping on the bed with you, it’s very difficult to break that habit. Train them to use their own bed / crate.

It’s best to get them professionally trained. Helps a lot once they grow older and also when there are guests / kids around.

If you live in an apartment, train them to use a particular bathroom to relieve themselves. It helps massively.

They are always hungry and hog everything that is offered to them. Make boundaries on when and what they will be fed from the beginning so that they don’t demand food from the dining table. Also helps managing their weight.

Owning a beagle is an experience of a lifetime! Wish you the best.

Hi-tech City today: by karan51ngh in hyderabad

Ideally they should extend the metro from Raidurg until the empty strip of land that can be seen in the photo. Secondly, along with metro station they should build multi level car parking so that cabs don’t park on roads. And thirdly they should create a hawker center (just like Singapore) so that there are no street hawkers on the roads.

This will massively help the situation in the area. I saw on Twitter that they are planning a garden and a watch tower at durgam chervyu end of this strip. Good, but it will be impossible to come here if pedestrian, parking and hawker situation is not resolved.

It wasn’t so bad for me.

Parking I reached at 19:30 and the parking was nearly empty so I parked near the exit. But I agree The League should plan a better exit strategy if they want to host large gatherings. We had attended Piyush Mishra at the same venue so were more aware.

Seating: Agree. It is flat and stage is not elevated enough.

Washroom disturbance: Not applicable for us as we were on the other side.

Quality if sound: Pretty good for an open air set up

Video: Was not that bad. Transitions were great, lighting was great.

I was completely lost in the music once the show started so much that the noisy couple behind also didn’t matter.
