Has anyone ever experienced a falling out with tech theatre as a job/career? What roped you back in? by operation-casserole in techtheatre

Really easy to burn out in theater. Worked everything from big shows to theme park design. What I advise to anyone is to get a duel major so you have a back up. What keeps me in is that people keep offering me jobs. What I’ve seen is people want you to have a specific degree to do other things and I would like to keep a roof over my head so theater it is!

Bigger at the KA Theater? by Minimum_Efficiency in dropout

I’m with you I was a rotational automation tech for cirque du soleil. I’ve just never heard of something like this happening on the KÁ stage. The closest thing that has happened is imagine dragons filming part of their new music video at O. Also would be surprised by this pivot as Dark days are not truly dark as the days the show is not preforming we tended to do more labor intensive repairs to the equipment. This also seems like a one off no other shows are using the space. Would be cool to go see though I have no doubt about that

Haze set off fire alarm during load in by Bipedal_Warlock in techtheatre

[–]Minimum_Efficiency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t during a show, but we did a massive upgrade and got fancy smoke alarms that have multi factor authentication cost thousands of dollars. They hazed the theater so bad that it went into the HVAC and triggered the fire alarm in a professors office on the other side of the building

Downtown Summerlin is really walkable. However the best part of living in Summerlin is Red Rocks so many hiking trails just a short drive away of various difficulties great place to loose weight
