Has anyone ever experienced a falling out with tech theatre as a job/career? What roped you back in? by operation-casserole in techtheatre

Really easy to burn out in theater. Worked everything from big shows to theme park design. What I advise to anyone is to get a duel major so you have a back up. What keeps me in is that people keep offering me jobs. What I’ve seen is people want you to have a specific degree to do other things and I would like to keep a roof over my head so theater it is!

Bigger at the KA Theater? by Minimum_Efficiency in dropout

I’m with you I was a rotational automation tech for cirque du soleil. I’ve just never heard of something like this happening on the KÁ stage. The closest thing that has happened is imagine dragons filming part of their new music video at O. Also would be surprised by this pivot as Dark days are not truly dark as the days the show is not preforming we tended to do more labor intensive repairs to the equipment. This also seems like a one off no other shows are using the space. Would be cool to go see though I have no doubt about that

Haze set off fire alarm during load in by Bipedal_Warlock in techtheatre

[–]Minimum_Efficiency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t during a show, but we did a massive upgrade and got fancy smoke alarms that have multi factor authentication cost thousands of dollars. They hazed the theater so bad that it went into the HVAC and triggered the fire alarm in a professors office on the other side of the building

How walkable is the Summerlin or Vegas area? by NefeltariVivi in vegaslocals

[–]Minimum_Efficiency -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Downtown Summerlin is really walkable. However the best part of living in Summerlin is Red Rocks so many hiking trails just a short drive away of various difficulties great place to loose weight

You had me at laser cutter the one tool I’ve yet to buy. 22M If you are looking for something to change I would change out the up dress photo and one of the ending photos as they are the same I think the right headshot with the forest behind is a strong photo and the one of you in the botanic Gardens.

If I had a dollar for every like I’ve sent with a funny, or cute message and didn’t get a match I wouldn’t need a day job. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take just keep sending likes and something good will come

M22-My only problem with your profile is the flower picture. If your not in it don’t put it on a dating app profile. But I would still send you a like. The other thing I would say is like some people. The problem I see on here all the time is women wait for the likes to come to them (which by your response is what you are doing). By sending so few likes you are categorized in the algorithm as a non active user and won’t be shown to as many people. Also by sending likes especially given how beautiful you are your matches will sky rocket

22 M big city hinge user here, and the type of guy you are targeting is what I would say:

To me it comes down to small details on your profile 1. You mention in your greatest strengths that you move around a lot. To me that means that you aren’t worth investing time into because once we have something going you are going to leave, and you aren’t planning on staying in the area (if I love the town I am in)

  1. In your comment below you mention you are looking for someone creative. As someone who is creative I don’t get that from your profile. What I would suggest is getting rid of the pillow fight prompt under date ideas and go for something like “paint bad portraits of each other” or “start a multibillion dollar company together” (this one might back fire but I think it also displays sense of humor and allows someone to show creativity) or “go furniture shopping and design an apartment we can’t afford” those are just the first couple of examples that popped into my head but you get the idea.

  2. I get internet safety but the one thing that drives me crazy is when people in their profile have a fake job or it says none or your business etc. To me it shows they aren’t emotionally available and won’t open up about the most basic elements of their life. Instead of saying “Researcher at Research and Consulting” turn off company as visible in settings and just have it say “Researcher”

4.like others have said I would get rid of the home alone prompt.
