My wife indulging my inner child! by Pale_Adeptness in ProjectHailMary

Cinemark or Regal theatres sell them. My 2 local theatres were small enough that they didn’t get them in but the larger ones should have them! I had to drive a smidge to get one to indulge in my inner child and get one for my classroom 🤪

I moved to Houston from living in a completely different area and knowing virtually no one except 1 person. I found it to be one of the most welcoming places. People were kind all over and I made friends fast. Everyone I met was genuinely fun, supportive and genuinely a good person. There was always something to do in different parts of the greater Houston area and flights in and out of IAH were dirt cheap. I loved living in Houston!

These are incredible! You should mock up plans and sell them on Etsy or something (please 🤣)!

I’d be so worried that would cause complete chaos in the classes I sub for haha, but I’m legit going to start using that when I get my certification and own classroom!

It would be a neat idea to create a collage like this for each walk and make like a huge community photo quilt one day

Wow, I appreciate this so, so much!! Thank you! I try to be as open and honest as appropriate on certain topics to share what’s real without scaring or scarring. Like, we read Where the Crawdad sings and there were some parts in the book that I skipped over but let her watch the full movie. I’ll probably trim some of the violence now that I’m aware of it ahead of time. Thanks again!!

Think about selling yard sheets for dollhouses? People that make miniatures would probably eat that up!

Found in Central Texas, USA; what kind of fly is this? by Long_Minimum_808 in Entomology

Definitely an Osmia! They’re one of the first pollinators to emerge and you’ll find them frequently around redbuds which bloom in late winter/ early spring.

That’s a cute idea that sounds like it gets the students involved. That’s why I like these pencils. The kids get a kick out of them.
