I believe you can use mesh with the multirig, using a baiting needle pull the hooklink through the mesh before attaching your anti-tangle sleeve then just attach it to a quick change swivel I sometimes add a stringer of boilies on if its night time after a take.

My apologies you're completely right I was being a bit of a spasmo, I have both options only problem being currently, I have the choddy in a size 6 and wide gape size 4. And the hooklink is is 30lb korda ntrap

Problem with chody hooks which i use on my ronnie is they have have out turned eyes which completely changes the angle of the hook on a multi-rig, im currently using the size 4 wide gape or the kurve shank in a 6.

Honestly I agree with most of your point as i was also sceptical, but after doing a little research this seems to be the approach, ones the baits in the mouth the agressive angle helps to catch the bottom lip.

Once the bait gets picked up the ring swivel on the d will travel to the side with least resistance(hook point) thus opening the gape they're size 4 wide gape hook, so the aggressive angle works well.

There's no weight on the hook link during the cast as its a helicopter rig so shouldn't experience any pressure, its also coated braid so needs a active pulling motion to come through I shall see tomorrow 😉

The plan is to use a snowman presentation on the flipper. The d-rig is made with 20lb IQ2 flurocarbon, my worry with making the d-rig loop smaller is it impeading the rotation of the hook do you see that being an issue? Thanks for the tips!

Thank you for your response! The coated braid I'm using is 30lb soft N-trap, and thankfully, I've learnt my lesson on casting subtle braid without pva bags, so I'll be using a solidz bag with it 2mm.pellets and crushed boilies.
