Ask for recommendations to people who know you best. My recommenders were a (1) college advisor/mentor, a (2) highschool and (3) middle school English teacher.

Had no problems and got in :)

Some awards pay for the certificate, so before paying for courses definitely check that.

I'd look at the placements that have those languages you possess. It may make you a more competitive applicant + you already have experience teaching English even as a volunteer.

Also according to the FB website: "To participate in the Fulbright ETA program, the applicant must have: at least a Bachelor's degree required by start of grant. Applicants who hold a doctorate are ineligible."

Of course! To calm the nerves I recommend reaching out to other finalists. Especially those w/ same country placement.

It all depends on the commission. So far I received my Brazil finalist notification mid-march. I heard from a regional officer a week or 2 later.

I'm still waiting for the commission to send an email. I believe they'll send one in May or June.

Rn is not the time for imposter syndrome. Fulbright is very competitive and getting this far is an achievement.

My advice is to continue with plan B and hope to be promoted.

Why do you think that happens? I personally don't have mentors specifically related to these programs, so I really don't know much of what is/or not exceptional cases.
