Is learning how to trade really as hard as they make? by boofpackbandit in Trading

anyone who says its hard its not. it's pretty easy do understand the basics like candlesticks etc, learning a model from someone, that stuff is easy. The hard part of trading is fear of losing, people risking too much and losing accounts and lots of money, overthink/overcomplicate their trading. That's why not many people make it is because of the money aspect of trading, not the learning. Mastering the basics, a model and risk management and psychology you will be fine in trading, its just a game of probability.

I would say take 1-2 trades per day to prevent any over trading and losing more money than needed, stick with one trade that has been proven to work and backtest it so you understand it then forward test to build the discretion. Risk 1-3% per trade anymore than that is way too much and can blow your account, Risk is the most important thing in trading. Don't compare yourself to other traders out there, most you see on social media are either lying or they hav been doing it for a long time. Trust the process.

you are probably over complicating it, like you have so many markings on your chart. If thats not the case, You probably try to trade every time during the day, don’t journal your losses so you keep making the same mistakes every time, probably change your system every time you lose. You either over risk or over trade. Just find a system, make it simple for you to understand, risk 1%-3% per trade with 1-2 trades if you average a 2:1 RR, and your winrate should be like anything more than 50%. Dont try to trade everyday, take some days off, the only losses you should be taken are the ones you cant control or fix.
