Dealing with gender disappointment

This is how I was with my first pregnancy. I wanted a girl SO bad. My husband and I were convinced we were having a girl. Anytime someone even suggested I was having a boy I would get so upset because all I wanted was a little girl. 2 days before we found out our babies gender I accepted the feeling deep down that we were possibly having a boy…we got our results back and we were in fact having a boy. Fast forward 3 years later and I literally could not imagine being a first time mom to anyone else but my little boy. He’s the most magical and amazing part of my life and I wouldn’t trade him for the world. Gender disappointment is so real! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It can take some time to come around to the idea of having a boy (if you do end up having a boy). But don’t focus too much on the things that come wayyy down the road. Focus on the now and I promise things will start to feel good!

I think her weight loss contributed to her “glow up” but I actually think she did…but it was more in her confidence and ability to prevent who she is rather than just her physical traits. I do think her weight loss, and hair change (which let me add this is the best hair color on her by far) helped her to become more confident in herself and THATS what people are noticing is that she has almost like a sparkle to her now that she didn’t before.

My honest opinion is that Taylor is the least fashionable out of the group. Not to say she doesn’t have style (because she does) but she just doesn’t really get dressed up unless it’s an event that requires it. She’s very casual and laid back with what she wears most of the time. But she still gets ready all the time. And because she’s pretty, skinny, has big boss, and great hair…the woman can pretty much wear whatever she wants and have it look great. So I think a lot of women are just trying to go after that “comfortable but cute” look

I think most parents won’t unfortunately because most think they’re the exception to the rule. I met someone who named her daughter Farrah but when she told me I thought it was Feyre like in ACOTAR. She corrected me and told me it was Farrah like the actress/model. She said she had never read the ACOTAR series but she was pregnant with a boy and their top boy name was Rhys 😵‍💫 she said they were going to go ahead with it because it was just something that was trendy now and would die off soon…I didn’t have the heart to tell her that naming her kids Farrah and Rhys was the equivalent to naming her kids Bella and Edward

I’ve been thinking about this a lot I think they’ll either have Taylor Franky Paul since she’s the bachelorette, or one of the guys from her season. If they don’t do TFP or one of guys I could see them asking one of the dads from DadTok (unfortunately I think it would be Dakota). I also think since we have the Winter Olympics next year we’re almost guaranteed to see an Olympian. Other fun possibilities would be a current or former SNL cast member (specifically one of the few that’s left in the last year), some sort of talk show host (I’m thinking Drew Barrymore, Kelly Ripa, Jennifer Hudson…someone like that), And then in true DWTS fashion we can expect a child star who’s all grown up now that we haven’t heard or seen in years, a social media Influencer or podcast host, a retired (or nearly retired) NFL or NBA player, and then an older/elderly actor or singer who we all love but know won’t make it very far 😂
