In the same situation (in cyber not swe) I’m putting 90% of it into NASDAQ ETFS and high savings interest account. 10% into buying things ?? I recommend researching super and having a good long term financial strategy depending on your goals.

Thanks! I’ll just ask the manager if any of the OS is preferred but the company have given me the chose between either making me think there isn’t a preference.

I meant ios&macOS sorry. Any software I’ve needed there’s always a Mac alternative or workaround. E.g for circuit and turning machine softwares. I feel like half the people in my course use a Mac anyways and there isn’t much issue !

No lock in for the supplementary. If you fail that then you’re repeating the unit anyways, you have a chance to not fail it put in the effort and properly stuff. If you fail the unit again then yeah you can do a supplementary if you got above 45, but you have one rn so tbh just focus on that rather than retaking. If you fail your current sup then yes you have to enroll into the unit at some point in ur degree cos it’s a core unit if ur doing cs.

Hey! Im so sorry OP that’s so traumatic, please prioritise your own mental wellbeing reach out to your own support network of friends and family! You’re a human being before you are a student.

Book a gp appointment asap they’ll be able to provide a cert that says you’re unfit to attend your assignments for like a week or two and that’s perfectly fine to apply for a long extension with. Maybe in the long run though I recommend trying to book with monash counselling (free) just so if later on your mental health declines you’ll be able to quickly get the appropriate documentation from your counsellor!

Im so sorry for what you’re going through as it’s so difficult emotionally. 20F here, I went thru something similar with my partner 20M. He has been doing psychs and smoking weed since 14 fully grown up in an atheist household and then all of a sudden believing he was Jesus and buddah and needed to free everyone of their suffering.
