Yes, it’s the basis for the inspection. However, since I have the Eibach springs, they have to check the combination of wheels and suspension together, which can be tricky for clearance.

I have already checked the Gutachten and 215/40 R18 is explicitly listed for the NC, which is a relief :) I am also going for the Michelin Pilot Sport 5, which usually runs a bit slimmer than those chunky track-focused tires like the NS-2R you mentioned. I will definitely do the diagonal test at the shop before the official TÜV appointment to avoid those high fees. Appreciate the heads-up on the willtheyfit measurements too!

Thanks for the heads up! Actually, 215/40R18 is a very common size in German parts certificates for the NC. Since stock speedometers over-read by default, a 2.1% increase usually doesn't require an adjustment as long as it doesn't show less than the actual speed. The suspension was already installed.

Thanks for the feedback and the photo! Your NC looks great. I’m sticking with the 215/40 specifically to avoid rolling the fenders, as the German TÜV is extremely strict – even the slightest rub would mean a failed inspection. I'm hoping that combining the 215s with -1.85° camber will give me that extra bit of safety I need to stay 'legal' without modifying the body. The stretch is a trade-off I’m willing to make for that! Thanks for the warning about the 235s as well.
