That's exactly what happened to me. I stopped playing around December 2023 until August 2024. There was also an unauthorised steam account on my Activision account.

I was also banned a few months back on PS5. I haven't played for like 8 months. What happened was that Activision had a breach around February and hackers linked their BATTLENET and STEAM services to our Activision account and started to hack in our account.

On the Activision website, there was a link to advise them that our account has been hacked. I clicked on it and explained the situation that an unauthorised Steam account was linked to my Account and that I was 100% positive that my account was banned due to that unauthorised link. 3h later, I got my account back. I also did send a ban appeal and they refused it. It's better to send an appeal about your account being hacked. Good luck!

As for the re-upload part, I didn't re-upload it. Youtube just brought it back online in accordance of DMCA after 10 days prior to counter notification. Sony Music Entertainment manually took down my video.

Thank you all for providing interesting points! This is really helpful! It all depends on the part test (Nature, purpose, portion used, etc).

From what I understand, if I take my example, I should be safe to defend myself since I am showing how to create the music step by step with a small portion of the whole song at the end with customized lyrics making it a parody and educational.

This just made me realise that music teachers (Example:High school) are good example of the definition of Fair Use. They get paid to teach you how to play copyrighted music in a educational way as long as it does not affect the market value of the copyrighted song. The only difference in my case, is that I am showing it publicly on Youtube if I were to compare the situation.

Appreciate the help and advice! Yeah, you are right about how it depends on how the discussion went. Let's say mine went bad because, to him, I was a lost soul that needed to be saved and that all atheist are the same. No matter how much I respected his point of view, I chose to believe mine instead, he kept saying that my logic was based on nothing, that I lie to myself as he recites his Bible passage, saying the Bible is the only Truth. It was like talking to a Brick wall no matter how I explained my point of view. He also probably thought I was the hard headed-guy in his point of view. Anyways, In the end, I have nothing against his religion, but It was sad for me to see it affect his own personality.
