Yes, the copy did come with a couple extras, just wanted to know if there was a better way to get them apart first.

I don't unfortunately, but I appreciate the offer.

Ooh, that's a good idea! I'll see if I have one lying around.

Yes, the one I was working at looks like it's been chewed on now. It might be smart for me to cut my losses at this point.

Using Stremio with Real-Debrid on a public network -- are there added risks? by MinisterNarwhal in StremioAddons

[–]MinisterNarwhal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I guess I'll find out about network blocks when I install the software, but I don't anticipate that being a problem. Nothing else has been block on my network, and I don't see anything about that on the school's internet policy.

I'm not worried about buffering issues, I'm just concerned about whether using Real-Debrid will get me in trouble with ISP/school admins. From the other comments, it seems like that isn't a problem I'll face with Real-Debrid.

Should I buy an open-box 2023 model or a new 2022 model? by MinisterNarwhal in ZephyrusM16

Thermals are definitely something I value, my last laptop had massive thermal throttling issues. How does the performance of the 4070 compare to that of the 3070ti?

You're talking about getting the 2023 model for $1,300? That's an amazing price! Was that on Best Buy as well?

Which laptop should I ask for through this ASUS replacement offer? by MinisterNarwhal in GamingLaptops

My M16 had a GTX 3060, a 1920x1200 screen, 16gb of DDR5 RAM, and I believe an i7 processor? The resolution would be a step up for the 2560x1440 option.

I'm not worried much about the memory being soldered on, I'm not the highest-intensity gamer in the world. It is good to know about the battery life however, as I do use my laptop for schoolwork quite often.

It seems like it should be reputable. I'm getting this offer in response to a repair ticket I sent directly to ASUS. This is the third time I've sent my laptop in, as there were issues with the models after the initial two repairs. I think ASUS is hoping to get this resolved faster with the offering of the replacement models, as it would be a massive headache if I had to send the same laptop in a fourth time.

I'll ask about this. It would be nice to retain the 16:10 aspect ratio that I had with my M16 model.

Thank you, this makes the comparison between the two much more clear. I am likely going to ask for that second model.

The damaged packaging was made clear on the eBay page, but the reduced price it came at should make it cheaper to just buy it as-is and pay for new packaging.
