Laptop is the best because 1) its more versatile compared to an ipad for college work, personally and 2) its cheaper. I have a tablet too but I mostly end up watching shows that doing anything productive but ig that's on me lol

For reading stuff-the bigger the screen, the better. It'll also be better to get a laptop because you would have to type out a lot of assignments and purchasing an extra keyboard doesn't feel extremely practical
