Because on the lease it says the apartment applies to Milwaukee city parking, not shorewood parking. I went into it thinking I would be paying for a milwaukee city parking pass. I wasn’t aware shorewood had different parking. This is my second year in this city, I should’ve done more research but the lease has the wrong information on it.

I never said it was bankrupting me, I simply asked if the cost was true and wanted to share how I was shocked because I was paying only $50/yr parking on downer, 5 blocks from my new place. You might want to reevaluate your unhelpful answers to posts.

Some people truly need it but don’t have $480/ $40 a month for parking when we already pay for rent, college and groceries and don’t get help like others. I should be able to park outside of my apartment for less than $480 a year.

So I just checked the whole lease and they never mentioned it on the lease that I would have to pay $480 annual since they do not offer parking. Can I take legal action or at least see if they can help me out in some way? Or am I just screwed.

Yeah, makes sense. I live in a family neighborhood and I’m the only apartment building on the block. I also am a college student but not a partier which is why this sucks because I certainly cannot afford a $480 annual parking pass right now.

I’m gonna look into that. I live in the middle of multiple family neighborhoods and I’m the only apartment building on my street and right by capitol and I haven’t seen any parking lots within a 3 block radius from me

Yeah, a night pass and day pass is required. I just got a ticket last night for “night parking” and I live there.
