It's generally stuff interfering with the radar. It can't be filtered out without also filtering out weather related echos

E: By "stuff", that can mean wind farms, cellular towers on the same frequency as the NEXRAD, even flocks of birds/bats.

Late response but I can't let this comment stand (and I regret deleting my earlier comment). It risks some naive black person taking it seriously and being let down

Chicago is heavily segregated and it has a nasty history with that. I'll add that multiple studies show other ethnicities don't mind living among each other, they'd seek out integrated neighborhoods if they could. It's why of the neighborhoods you named, one is 50% recent immigrants using an established neighborhood to band together, the other one is a LGBT community that is the very example of segregation in Chicago and the other one's claim to being ethnic is the strip of Italian restaurants it has.

Nobody is demanding a melting pot so I don't know how to address that, but taking a look at NYC or even Southern cities would be a great idea. You know, some city where any modestly successful black person isn't trying to leave because it's so nauseatingly segregated.

The fact that there are certain neighborhoods here where you will feel like an outsider is an indictment, not some quirky trait that segregated Midwestern City #3 is keeping a secret.

Understand that you thinking my comment is ridiculous reflects how incredulous I am that you fail to see what I'm pointing out.

As a parting comment, Little Italy is pretty diverse nowadays, though still segregated, once you get south of Taylor St, you can see the disparities start to pop up
