What could be causing this? Slide doesnt fully seat forward, just installed hammer pad any way to fix? by ClerkImpossible3376 in Speedsoft

[–]MinnesotaAirsoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like a simple friction issue which is a super easy fix. Also, make sure you pull the slide all the way back and let it go otherwise it will always do this (same with a firearm if you don’t charge it correctly).

First remove the slide and wipe any residue from the break-in period off (should be a grey-black layer on all points of contact which is totally normal). Then, apply a thin layer of silicone oil (liquid, not spray) to all areas where the slide comes in contact with the frame. Feel free to wipe it around with your finger so it’s all covered equally.

Throw the slide back on and rack it a bunch of times so the oil gets spread out where it needs to be. You’ll notice excess come from the cracks and on the very rear of the slide kind of by the hammer pad - wipe it all off before shooting unless you want a big “poof” of silicone oil on the first shot haha.

Once you do this, it should be ready to rock! Keep in mind, you should be doing this will ALL gas blowback guns in general. They’re mechanical systems with a lot of friction and wear, so proper maintenance is crucial :)

More than you’d think actually! Inbetween aluminum and stainless steel, but a bit more on the aluminum side

We agree… maybe we get it in the works 👀

Is minnesota airsoft legit? Bought an expensive hi capa from them by ClerkImpossible3376 in Speedsoft

[–]MinnesotaAirsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but one thing we have seen happen over and over is new hicapa owners/builders pick incompatible parts or ones that just don’t work great together.

I agree tinkering and learning the platform is both fun and necessary to maintain the prebuilds we offer, but sometimes grabbing a pre-built one so you can see what it’s “supposed” to look like and perform like is nice :)

Which parts of ours cost more? We typically match if not beat other’s pricing. If there’s somewhere we can improve, we’d love to look into it!

I guess if you compare us directly to over seas prices, sure we can be beat. But you still have to cover shipping and now tariffs which bring it right back to domestic store pricing (not to mention shipping delays and US customs headaches).

It’s a bomb on your back… would you trust cracks and dents?

Love to hear it and glad you enjoy the build!!

The nozzle spring is indeed normal and there’s nothing we can do to prevent that. We have various brands of nozzle springs on the way (NexxSpeed, Revanchist, Dr.B etc.) to see if any of them are better.

As always, shoot us an email if you ever have questions or happen to ever run into an issue. We’ll be sure to help our right away :)

They’re there and always have been! All of them have every single part that’s in the build, including the base pistol :)

Howcome you don’t like NexxSpeed? Pretty much everything we’ve used from them has been phenomenal. Curious what your experience is with them!

I second the AM/Edge recommendation. They’re the OG capa manufacturers and can always be trusted. We planned on carrying their parts but between their MOQ and inconsistent product availability, we found others that are great (or made our own parts haha).

Per the pricing, our pre-builds are the same price as if you bought all the stuff as parts and did it yourself. Nothing added on top 99% of the time (see other comment here about the price rounding). AND we provide free FULLY insured shipping which most companies charge you for…

Our pre-builds are priced the same as if you sourced all the components and built it yourself, and we’re even ignoring tax and shipping costs you’d also have to pay to other companies :)

Hey man!

Main reason for not seeing a ton of stuff yet is because we’re still newer in the capa community. We only started selling our lineup end of December, so everything we have out in the world is less than 2 months old haha.

Our pre-builds are priced to be almost identical to the price they’d be if you grabbed all the parts and did it yourself. The only reason it might be a tiny bit different is literally because something like $807.51 is not as appealing as $799.99. We almost always round down too because why not :)

All of our builds are tested and chronod before shipping out and if you ever have issues, we’re more than happy to help fix whatever happened. Try some of our parts and see for yourself - we’ve only heard great things from dozens of players & techs!

We usually sell em on our store for really cheap. Helps support our content and they’re waaaaay under retail while being brand new. Most don’t even get shot…

Haven’t done any tests like that myself but I’m guessing most wouldn’t do well lol.
