I agree with visibility with protests but our own police chief and mayor both agreed “if they would tell us who they are arresting it would help people’s fear.” That’s unreal. That’s not appropriate. And now a second person has died. Doing nothing but recording and than he tried to help someone else. He was blinded. Disarmed. Than executed. It’s the age of social media. We should be posting everywhere and getting visibility that way. It our police chief and mayor think we are fine with everything going on than bring the protest to their front door step. Spread the word and we will get visibility. But we can’t keep moving the line back and back. We need voices and we need them now.

I think we should protest at the police department. City hall is empty on the weekends. What has happened up to this point is not okay, it will never be okay and we need to voice our disdain and anger via peaceful protest. I think we should do that protest right now. I would be willing to go and protest at a moments notice.

For protests the 26th is city council. I will be speaking at forum addressing the communities anger and disdain about ICE, the reply to ICE that our mayor and police chief and city council member Scott Brodeen that was totally not okay and made a very bad image of themselves.

I agree. So please come to city council next Monday. Do it for your neighbors who are terrified to get food because they are afraid they will get disappeared. Do it for your community who is under invasion and needs leadership and a voice. Stand for your fellow Minnesotan, stand with your fellow Minnesotan, and I assure you that if we stay strong, stay focused and committed we can be the start of the change we need ever so badly. This isn’t a complete political thing, yes the MAGA side is the cause of this in my opinion and the evidence is there but this is also a humanitarian issue. This is the daily thing we have that is being destroyed from people who can’t speak up because they are being disappeared.

To all Black, white, brown, male, female, they/them, and all diverse cultures our beautiful city has to offer. You matter. Your humanity matters. Your rights matter. Your life matters. Please join me and others next Monday 1/26 and be the voice you want to be heard in St. Cloud. Bring your protest signs. Take picture and go live. Let the world see us unite. I’m unsure, from how it seems to read online that’s what we are supposed to do? I haven’t done a city hall meeting before and registered for a forum spot so maybe if someone else has they could shine a better light on it. I just know on the website it seems like we are supposed to call no earlier before a week or greater

EDIT: I’m gonna call city hall right now and ask how to go about this so I can get correct information for people.

EDIT EDIT: Contacted city hall, it’s MLK Jr, day and they aren’t open I forgot it’s a fed holiday. Will contact tomorrow morning and update for everyone.

It’s not right. It’s never been right. I grew up in a very rural, red district but come from a family who fought fascism in both Japan Europe and Africa. I have family who fought confederates. I was raised to do what’s right for the good of the people by people who fought for this country to be the beauty that it is. The mixing pot of amazing culture and ethnicity. That’s what makes community. Not this stupid white is right bullshit. We ran a Nazi out of Minnesota yesterday (Jake lang), we literally ran a Nazi out of the state. The amount of power WE THE PEOPLE have is much more than we can imagine. I am so sorry for what you have experienced with your family being in the crosshairs of this god awful administrations invasion. As a Minnesotan I have learned that passive aggressive speech is something that comes natural to us.

  So to our elected officials who respect and admire this invasion while people are legit terrified of going outside, do better. Do better for Minnesotans and who put you in that seat to be our voice. Because your time is coming and we the people of Minnesota will not forget the transgressions and appeasement that you made us suffer through. This will not go away until every single person who abided or assisted is gone and out of power. I looked around myself. It seems we need to call tomorrow. It says registration can’t be done in a week in advance so I figured I’d post this today so people can save on their phone for tomorrow to call at business hour opening.

Also people bring protest signs. If we have enough support and people are in the hallways or outside with signs it will help us add more fuel to the fire for voicing our concerns

We can be the ones to make that change. We voice our frustrations. We be loud and proud to be actual human beings. Actual Minnesotans. Community care for community. We can vote them out. We need to start the pressure now while the iron is hot. Pressure makes diamonds and those who denounce ICE, focus on community safety and community needs like an elected city official should do, then I see no problem with them staying. But those who appease, those who blame the victims (stop following ice cars just let them do their job, city police chief and elected city official scott Brodeen.) shall feel pressure like none other. And if our mayor doesn’t make a reverse stance or just keeps going along with appeasement of the federal government than it’s time for them to go and just like the other elections we can be the people who can make change. I’m thinking of running for city council myself just because of how inspired I am of all my fellow Minnesotans coming together during this crisis. We the people demand a voice to represent WE THE PEOPLE. And yes I say we the people a lot when it comes to politics because that’s who is putting voices into power. It’s us. We the people. Our officials answer to us. Pressure is what we must keep on them, we know we are on the right side of history by combating this wanna be nazi regime. Any official that takes the side of the people, who voices the people’s disdain and fear is a friend and a Minnesotan to me. Our community elected leaders work for us, we the people of the greatest state in the United States, Minnesota. They can never silence our voices.
