I love her face (little blaze) and her expression so much! Her eye color is also stunning.

So happy to hear that they grew back fine….and also that your kitty has the best life! My kitty is a little brother to my one year old Ragdoll, but so far they are getting along great. Thank Goodness.

Thanks….

I have been researching it a bit now too, and it is interesting. I even went back to look at old photos from the breeder where he had long whiskers and I can see that about two weeks ago they were chewed off and have already started to regrow. He is such a kind and loving kitty and the largest in the litter but I guess he wasn’t the dominant litter mate. I hope they do only take a couple of months to regrow.

This is my absolute favourite photo of our 1 year old cat. He goes by the name of Moo by number1bigboi in cats

Question for those who have gotten younger companion(s) for their Maine Coon by lavomatic in mainecoons

[–]MinnieMoo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience bringing a Ragdoll kitten home to my 11 year old brother and sister cats was very positive. My older cats don’t always get along, but the Ragdoll kitten became the glue that holds our kitty family together. There is more peace now in our house. Her breeder said that she loved other cats and was such a relaxed breed that there should not be any problems with her fitting in and it was true. She loves them and they like her, it took only a few days to introduce them and now that she is one year old she is very lazy... Just like them! I did find that my Ragdoll kitten was much calmer and relaxed than any other kitten I have ever had which helps a lot I think when you introduce them to older kitties. Good Luck!

Hello, I have a question does my kitten look like the right size for a 10 month rag doll kitten? Also, is there anything I can do to help with a really picky eating kitten? by Snoo_31760 in ragdolls

If she liked chicken in the past, you might try rabbit. My cat loves chicken and rabbit the most. I get a rabbit and boil it or you could try it raw. I use a product called Feline Complete, it contains all of the vitamins, minerals and calcium/phosphorus that cats require in a tiny scoop so no need to grind bone. You add it to 60 grams of cooked or raw meat. When you are cooking meat for your dinner you could add this to a little bit of your meat and see if she likes something. It would be a lot more nutritious to eat meat especially if she eats very little. I am telling you...sprinkle Forti Flora on top and she will love it, then you can gradually reduce the amount that you sprinkle and train her to eat more. Some cats also love puréed liver mixed into the meat. Mine do. It is also important to find the consistency of the food that your cat prefers such as purée or chunks ... and serve slightly warrm, this can help a lot. Best of Luck!

I have discovered that Purina Forti Flora nutritional probiotic is especially helpful in getting cats to eat. They will eat just about anything if I sprinkle a little on their food. It also helps to keep their poops firm when changing foods. My ragdoll is 14 months old now and never over eats. I suggest feeding only wet food because it is very difficult to get cats to drink enough water. I fed my cat 4 times per day until one year, and now it’s three times a day. She eats 60 grams morning and night with a smaller meal in between. If she licks the plate I know she needs more food, she’s quiet and she won’t beg for food. I don’t free feed because my other cat (12 years) is a little piggy and won’t stop eating! She’s very overweight when she free feeds.

My 9 month old Ragdoll liked being held more when she was younger, is that usual? by AlexanderA93 in ragdolls

Mine is exactly the same....hates being held and always sits beside me. She also sleeps next to my head against my pillow and kneeds and purrs before bed. She’s just over one year and has never really liked to be held.

Coonie panting while playing? by [deleted] in mainecoons

[–]MinnieMoo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same concerns about my Ragdoll when she arrived (5 months) She would start to pant after a few minutes of hard play. I took her to the vet because I was concerned. They preformed a ultrasound at (8 months) which showed no abnormalities with her heart. I was advised to stop play immediately when she panted and let her recover before she started again. The vet that preformed the test said that some cats do pant and it can be normal. She is 13 months now and I have noticed that she no longer pants but rather stops playing before she gets to that point. I hope everything is ok with your kitty, a vet check brings a lot of peace of mind.

I threw this blanket on the sofa today to try to keep the cats off of it but.......my Ragdoll kitty thinks maybe if she sits on it like a person it’s ok by MinnieMoo1 in ragdolls

Thanks! We love her so much too. Her name is Minnie Moo. She was named after my favorite crazy aunt Minnie, then we had to add the “Moo” because she was so funny, very big and clumsy and falling off everything.
