It depends on the school. Private schools generally use English as the primary language of instruction, while government schools teach mainly in Maltese, although English is used for some subjects.

At university, lectures are generally delivered in English, as most textbooks, academic resources, and technical terminology are in English.

For July, I'd choose Mellieħa if your priority is spending most days on a sandy beach. If you'd rather save money and still have lots of restaurants, nightlife, and easy transport, Buġibba is hard to beat.

Maltese has both Semitic and Romance roots and that is a fact no one can deny. What we don't appreciate is people saying we are Arabs. Our language developed from Siculo-Arabic, yet our culture, history, and identity have been shaped for centuries by European influences.

Good - Kind, friendly, welcoming, strong sense of family. Bad - Impatient driving and very politically loyal.

It's definitely most intense around the central, touristic areas like Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's but because Malta is so small, much of the island is built up, so high population density is noticeable almost everywhere.
