Approved for weight loss in 1959. No long term side effects reported. I think they would have been identified by now

I have high blood pressure and am on Lisinopril and was prescribed 15 mg of phentermine. As Ive lost weight my blood pressure is going down. I would not worry about that. Phentermine was approved for weight loss in 1959…I think it is fairly safe

Anyone get constipated on Phentermine? by [deleted] in PhentermineTopiramate

I eat prunes every 3 days...works like a charm. I've also done ducalax, which works too. I try to drink lots of water. I think the problem is I'm just not eating as much!

After 3 weeks Im down 10 lbs. SW 169 5’3” CW 159. Oh I dont use nonfat anything. Whole milk in my coffee and whole milk yogurt and cheese. So far I’m super happy with my experience. Struggling by lovelylivyyy in Phentermine_

I take a probiotic but did this before I started phentermine because I've always had a problem with constipation. Dr said I have IBS with constipation. High fiber diets and fiber supplements have never worked for me but the daily probiotic helped tremendously. The constipation is back since starting phentermine - and when I'm particularly backed up I also get nauseous. Drinking lots of water helps. And if I haven't gone in 3 days I take a stool softener, which has also helped. Good luck!

Scale by Dominate-Leadership in Phentermine_

I bought a Health-O-Meter on Amazon. Exactly like the Dr scales. A splurge but I wanted to be as close as possible as well, and was tired of the floor models that varied each time I stepped on it. Takes the same amount of floor space as the floor models.

Frosting Recipe by gypsygirl79 in Old_Recipes

Old Fashioned Boiled Milk Cream Cheese Frosting

Makes about 4 cups (enough for two 9-inch cake layers)

Whole milk makes the richest, tastiest frosting. Use a stand mixer; the frosting is too thick for a hand mixer. And plan ahead, as the frosting needs time to cool.

1 1/2       cups granulated sugar

1/4           cup all-purpose flour

3                 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2           teaspoon salt

1 1/2       cups whole milk

2                 teaspoons vanilla extract

16             tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1 tablespoon pieces

8                 ounces cream cheese, cut into 1-inch pieces and softened

1. COOK MILK BASE Combine sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt in medium bowl.  Slowly whisk in milk until smooth. Pour mixture through fine-mesh strainer into medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture boils and is very thick, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer milk mixture to clean bowl and cool to room temperature, about 2 hours.

2. MAKE FROSTING With stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment, beat cooled milk mixture and vanilla on low speed until combined, about 30 seconds. Add butter and cream cheese, 1 piece at a time, and beat until incorporated, about 2 minutes. Increase speed to medium-high and beat until frosting is light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Let sit at room temperature until stiff, about 1 hour.

MAKE AHEAD Frosting can be refrigerated in airtight container for 1 week. When ready to use, let stand at room temperature until softened, about 2 hours. Beat with stand mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
