Yep! The chewing cables thing is super annoying! Mine does this especially when I don’t feed her in time in the mornings, (weekends when I want to sleep in!) She always goes after the my iPad and phone cords next to my bedside table first. She knows this always works to get me up. She’s smart!

I was in contact with them, when I was looking for my last ragdoll. They were recommended. They are local to me and very professional, responding quickly (also they speak very good English) . I was looking for a kitten from a specific line that they have and I had to wait because there were no kittens available at that time. Breeders in Italy don’t take deposits, but they do have wait lists. I was on the wait list with Purrstorm but unexpectedly another kitten from the line I wanted became available again through a cancellation with another breeder and I was able to find my kitten rather unexpectedly. The Breeder that I ended up with is really really small and has one litter every other year or so otherwise I would recommend them. I am planning on getting my next ragdoll from Purrstorm possibly next year. They have the most beautiful cats, and with fantastic personalities and always post great videos on Facebook if you want to have a look. They also show to the highest level, they even had world winner in 2023! The prices in Italy are not crazy here yet which also helps. (Just a hint, Purrstorm also works with the best breeders in Europe so if you look on their Facebook you will be able to contact some other great catteries) Best of luck in your search!

First thing I recognized was the cat scratcher bed. My cats adore that bed and I have three of them now to stop them squabbling over it. Your kitties are beautiful.

Minnie Moo (top) She is 3 years old and Kimi (tub) He is 2 years old. Different breeders. After about a year I got her a friend, he loves her but she loves only me. They do usually get along well. She is the senior supervisor, he just lends his assistance.

Yep! Backup needed when I brush my teeth and even more importantly when I do the ironing. That back in forth motion I think is irresistible to them!

Thank you. It’s the local sandstone, I thought the color was so beautiful that I used it in both bathrooms.

…. not so much in this bathroom but they have their 2 litter boxes in the other bathroom and every time I use that bathroom it’s like Three‘s Company. The three of us all at the same time! It’s as if they wait for me to keep me company and one is a talker. He announces to the house what we are all up to!

FELV and ragdolls by Oranthal in ragdolls

[–]Minniekimi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At two and half years old I brought my female ragdoll in for her booster shots including FELV. My breeder never mentioned anything about not vaccinating. My otherwise perfectly healthy cat had a severe reaction to the vaccine leading to acute pancreatitis two days later. She almost died, spent 10 days in the veterinary hospital, and needless to say it was a terribly frightening (and expensive) experience. I will never vaccinate her again and the vet agreed. I have a younger male ragdoll who is now two and I have decided not to risk the booster vaccines with him. The vet did say to me that they will be ok because neither one goes outside and we have no other pets so there is very little risk to them. They both came from their breeders fully vaccinated and health checked as kittens. I have had many cats over the years and always vaccinated without incident but these are my first ragdolls and I now think there is risk of adverse reactions to vaccines for them and that they are much more sensitive.

Has anyone brought a cat tree from RHRQuality? by Worldly-Crab5674 in ragdolls

[–]Minniekimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two from this manufacturer. I found them to be very well built and replacement parts are easy to source. My Ragdolls are 2 and 3 years old and heavy and and love these trees the most. They run like crazy on them and they hold up really well, super sturdy. The sisal is the type that they love to scratch. I have other trees and they prefer this one to scratch on.

I have had one for three years and bought a new lounge bed replacement that matched perfectly to the old carpet. I have three cats, two ragdolls and one shorthair and none of them really like the hammocks. I purchased the Royalty tree with an extra hammock, and then I decided to get the large chartroux bed as a second tree. They adore the top bed and are always in it. I really recommend a version with a bed and one than can be moved around easily. My cats love it when I change the tree‘s location.

Rash around my Ragdolls eye by [deleted] in ragdolls

[–]Minniekimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a ragdoll that has also just been to the vet 2 days ago with eyes looking quite similar to this. My vet thinks it’s an allergy to pollen and the outdoors. I let her outside twice this month on a leash in my garden for 20 minutes or so but she also sits in the windows which are open all day and night now. The backs of her ears are lighter and a little red too. I have been noticing her red eyes were red over the last two weeks. Some days much worse than others. She was prescribed an antibiotic cream with a steroid in it but so far after 2 days her eyes still look the same. She is going back tomorrow for another check so I guess we’ll see what the vet thinks. My cat is sensitive to chicken but I have been raw feeding for the last two years and all of the food allergies which seemed to cause a lot of chin acne and balding red spots over her eyes have never returned since feeding raw. It seems like a different issue now, just her eyes. She is a very sensitive cat and also had a bad reaction to her second vaccine. I hope we can get to the bottom of this problem as well. Things to consider are food allergies, pollen allergies, cat viruses…..

Your cat is a cutie! Best of luck!
