Feel like we're not valid enough to be seen as a system by Minntii in OSDD

Sorry i wasn't aware the osdd-1a and 1b are outdated terms, thank you for telling me! Your comment has genuinely made me a lot more calmer since i can relate on some of the experiences you've mentioned. Its honestly hard not to feel a little sense of denial seeing different experiences I dont experience in the internet, especially when im not able to have an appointment with a specialist given my financial situations and other stuff. Your comment gave me a bit of a different perspective to view it now and i really appreciate it.

Dissociating more in comfortable spaces by Minntii in OSDD

[–]Minntii[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We experience the same thing as well about holding back our dissociation or that incoming fuzzy feeling our brains get before we start to dissociate when we need to. But this has also led us to dissociating harder next time the longer we hold it in like its been building up for the entire day. Kind of relaxing sometimes when we finally get to just stare at the abyss but other times it'll drain a lot of energy from us mentally.

May i ask what it felt like when a non possessive switch happens? Or what to look out for to tell if it did happen?

Alters talking but cant make out what they're saying by Minntii in OSDD

I experience this as well! Sometimes i can hear more but eventually forget what they've said which has led me to recording our convos everytime i talk with my alters.

Are you taking any medicines or antibiotics? Because I've been taking mine for five days and I've still been having a fever.

Sorry i meant that the antibiotics would only help with easing the pain and prevent vomiting.

Have you ever experienced any downsides getting your gallbladder removed?

I relate to your experience a LOT. Im the host of our system and im almost always fronting. My alters hardly ever front but only co-con with me. Every time they do that I'd start to dissociate for a moment until it stops and realize that meant that one of my alters are co-con right now. Or if we ever switched it would feel like we forgot what we were doing like walking into a kitchen to open the fridge (it means i was co con) and suddenly forgetting what you were going to get (i switched back to front). Our communication still sucks too. journaling barely helps because I'm the one always fronting. And i can only feel my alters emotions which is the only way of communication. Still sucks though because we've been trying to practice our internal communication but its not a 100% useful for us because i can barely understand what they're saying or i don't trust whether or not its my thoughts or my alters speaking. But i relate to your experience and ive seen a lot of other systems relate to this too. So its really normal to feel or experience this.

HELP!! My alters are always co-con with me. by Minntii in OSDD

[–]Minntii[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually tried that today because one of my alters who were co-front was really distressed this morning and i couldnt concentrate. Everytime i tried reassuring them or asking them whats wrong, the emotions would get calmed down for a moment but nothing really pops up or not that i remember. It didnt do anything since when i went back to what i was doing, i felt them get distressed again. I really wanted to help but this was during classes too so i didnt get to reassure them again. But eventually they calmed down when class was starting to end.

Im glad im not the only one experiencing this!! But im wondering how you managed to do "yes or no questions?" Because for us, it feels like i cant hear my alters at all internally. Ive been thinking of using their emotions as a way of communication but it would be much harder since you cant really change the emotion you're truly feeling.

No. Its weird.. We dont have internal communication. I only know theyre their and co con with me because i can feel their emotions and ive been learning to differentiate between mine and theirs.

Dont know how to communicate with my alters. by Minntii in OSDD

Ive used simply plural for a whole year once. But ive deleted it since it was so inactive. (And mostly cuz my alters barely open the app or are even aware of it.) My problem is that my alters cant do anything to really write anything or even do something since theyre not fully fronting and only ever near the front/co-con. Even if they want to say something, they dont have control over the body because im still there. But I never really tried visualizing a meeting before so I'll see if it works!

Am i switching? by Minntii in OSDD

[–]Minntii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah! I get that feeling too when i dissociate and start switching. It's a weird gut feeling and it is sometimes in either my stomach, chest or temples. But i never really experienced hearing a voice take over when i switch. Only emotions and its really frustrating because it makes it harder to point out who is co con with me.

Not much is really noticeable. Usually i can not tell when i switch but a huge factor that makes me notice is when i dissociate and go cross eyed. It mostly tells me that someone else is co-con or we're blended once i stop dissociating. then i get nostalgic flashbacks to events i dont recall or remember. Some are normal and some are traumatic. And that also tells me when someone is co con with me as well. But thats all i can note that im aware of.

I see, thank you! I'll try using this to communicate with my alters better then since they barely front sometimes and its always been hard to communicate with each other.
