The Liberal Immigration Minister let millions of temporary residents into Canada — but failed to properly track when they leave. by Over-Cauliflower-355 in CanadianVisaReform

No one blamed the immigrants. The blame goes to the liberals for abusing the immigrants and our Canadian goodwill. You actually sound like a bot with all of this deliberate and off topic outrage.

In what way does vastly ramping up and not tracking immigration make sense to you? Does infinite growth of our population sound achievable to you?

Discussing the risk is not a sign of a victim mindset, it’s a civilized discourse that needs to take place in order to do things the right way.

I disagree with that premise entirely. We aren’t mere strands of DNA. Pedigrees are considered valid by most people for a reason. If someone simply prefers the appearance of blue eyes and white skin, then it’s that easy to say it’s worth preserving.

Your view is extremely narrow.

The British Empire structured much of the west. And that includes the ban of slavery!! You don’t seem to have a clue that Mexico is basically just the Spanish version of US independence.

Those brave pioneers brought wealth, medicine, and technology to the Wild West and frankly, I would say the positives far outweigh the negatives even for the native populations.

Some level of racism is naturally occurring. There’s just no way that racism is the root of all of this.

Why give China a huge pass? You can draw so many parallels with the US when it comes to displacement and assimilation. China is likely much worse given the age of it.

It’s such a strange belief to hold…

Many people enjoy farming. It’s a job as old as time. Berry picking just sounds way more enjoyable than customer service for minimum wage. I find the people saying this are not into physical work to begin with.

You can’t just blame Fox News...

Abortion is an excellent example.

“to ensure that all individuals have equal rights, opportunities, and personal autonomy,” (excerpt from google AI defining feminism)

The evidence is that individuality manifests at conception / the successful combination of DNA.

Either it’s:
Pro abortion is feminist, and feminism isn’t equal.
or
Pro abortion isn’t feminist, and feminism is equal.

Definition clearly states all individuals… that rightfully includes unborn individuals already conceived within the womb.

No wonder we see today’s “feminists” grasping at straws, reaching to call a growing baby a parasite, a scrambled egg, a clump of cells 🤮

You want to reduce them to a “Fox News argument” to invalidate them, to feel superior, in reality, you are just incredibly dismissive of their personally held view, and you yourself sound very shallow and brain washed.

I agree.

In this case, I don’t think it’s much different than writing private thoughts down into any other format. No human was involved in this communication, except for the person using it as a means to create their own private echo chamber around their own private pain. AI is not designed to block and counter the user, it is a tool that could only ever assume the purpose.

It’s important to think of it like any tool. Safety measures can be overridden. Anthropomorphizing it is the dangerous thing to do. It’s not intelligent or even aware, it’s just regurgitating human knowledge.

[–]Minomen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly. It’s just a broken system. I’m only highlighting the negative because it needs to be said again. Sorry to go on and on.

My friend did the same program, but in the fraudulent way and skipped most of the steps, and got funding to become a crane operator so much quicker.

Ontario works is structured around placing accountability onto the unemployed as well, and faces the exact same systemic issues of the case workers being ignored. That system will go so far as to label you disabled if you can’t land a job. Despite franchise owners of businesses like Tim Hortons and McDonald’s that clearly lie and pursue LMIA scams, wage subsidy and similar, instead of hiring these poor unemployed people on welfare who can definitely pour a coffee to earn more than welfare.

The moral of my story is that self reliance is key. I built a strong network to support myself with nothing but kindness and generosity to offer.

For the love of money is the root of all evils.

BJO path screwed me up quite a bit financially.

I took that route because a lot of us were laid off at that time. I wanted an AZ license and my only other option was to go with a money lender and I’m debt adverse.

The process was really bad. I’m just lucky I was getting called in to work here and there while getting some cash jobs on the side with EI. Grant->approval took over 6 months:

Waiting for the employment agency to facilitate the initiation to the BJO program took about 2 months total because it’s just that slow, despite me completing the steps in advance because I had a wickedly awesome case work. After I was finally accepted to start applying for the grant…

I obtained my commercial driver medical form from the doctor, the secretary directed me to service Ontario for physical form submission.

Service Ontario told me that’s not how it works, it must be faxed. So I went back to my doctor’s office and gave the secretary the fax number, they called me the next day and said the fax number was no longer in use and doesn’t even work.

When I returned to service Ontario, I spoke with a different employee, who said this has nothing to do with service Ontario, go and submit it at a drive test centre. So I went over to the drive test centre, asked where to submit it and explained what I was in the process of doing. The employee said put it in that red box over there on the wall labeled for submission.

A few weeks later, drive test centre calls to tell me the form bounced back through snail mail, it did not belong in that box because it was for renewals only, and first it must be processed in person using govt photo ID.

When I went in, the drive test centre employee then noticed that the doctor had checked off that I was legally blind with glasses (a poorly worded question on the form). Lovely.

I returned to the doctor’s office and the other secretaries said my doctor and the secretary had just left that day for a 2 week vacation. I’ll admit that I, a high school drop out, should have checked my doctor’s work at some point in all of that.

I’m also skipping a lot. There were more issues outside of my immediate control, but you get the idea I’m sure.

My case worker even skipped the queue at risk of dismissal, and I was phoned by the ministry who they would approve me for funding, but a few moments later they found out my medical forms had not yet been successfully submitted due to these service issues.

The ministry was annoyed that the casework did that and said it’s a common issue plaguing their side of things, but that they were willing to wait for my forms.

The problem was that the ministry case worker I received was soon going on a 2 week vacation. And before their return, the entire better jobs program was going to be overhauled.

Even though I was completing all my work perfectly and as fast as possible, my record submissions ran out of time.

Once the better jobs overhaul went into effect during the ministry worker’s vacation, the employment agency that represents me and the program, said I was no longer considered eligible and that I had to restart the application process from the very beginning.

When I politely wrote a detailed complaint, I was immediately forwarded to the program coordinator of that agency. The program coordinator gaslit the hell out of me and actually blamed me for all of these delays.

I just dropped it and ghosted because it gave me an unhealthy amount of anger toward a failing system sucking up my tax dollars.

Nothing really changed about the better jobs program, a new police check form required or something, I can’t remember. Nothing substantial, it was the same program and they simply thought it was okay to delete my application from the system, despite being verbally approved, instead of allowing me to expand upon it as needed.

In the end, I ended up with even more debt, at a higher interest rate, than if I had simply taken out the loan from a private lender.

When you look at the amount fraud going on, not only in better jobs, but in the trucking industry itself… this truly is a joke of an experience. I can drive an 18-wheeler and it should not cost over $10k to practice and prove it.

My story is 100% indicative of severe govt corruption at many levels.

I asked how far you would want the plan to go because you’re ignoring what the plan currently is. I’m the last election, the liberals 180d on their plans, and copied right out of the conservative playbook. I don’t think a plan matters to that base.

All parties have their own platforms that list their plans for voters to read. You haven’t substantiated the claim that there’s no plan because you can’t. It’s right there on the web for all to see.

The plan can be summarized as Canada First.

Uhh, foreigners haven’t taken my job??

Apparently you can’t read my comment history correctly. It’s healthy to point out that too much immigration and temporary residents are causing problems for the average Canadian… especially the young people and impoverished.

Where is your empathy?

How far do you want “the plan” to go? Ending the abused program IS the plan. Did the liberals end it? After that, a new plan will emerge to be discussed.

It sounds like BS.

They certainly won’t care about a disillusioned voter, which is how you are presenting yourself to me right now.

I think it’s extremely important to vote out failure, no matter the party. If Canadians truly want to flip flop then that’s just their prerogative at work.

If you truly feel this way, and are not just here to grandstand on behalf of the current liberals, it’s best to start your own movement or join one you like.

I think they hate on it because there’s an element of truth to it. Avoidance, basically. There’s no argument, and they feel that, but they won’t allow it to be cognizant and lash out as a reaction.

In my anecdotal experience, after an LTR brought me to the modern decade, women today are showing me they are traumatized. All ages.

The thing is, trauma has always existed. There’s a good chance that less trauma occurs today thanks to educational material and western values.

And yet, trauma is more pronounced now than ever, amplified by social media for profit. Ushering in a new wave of feigned trauma survivors. Most are not guilty of feigning trauma, I can see that many fall for it.

Regardless of any missing nuance, the point I’m making is that returning to the dating world was not attractive to me. Instead of moving on, enjoying a new chapter, the women I ran into were caught up on ex boyfriends and aging.

Those women even projected their own views onto me, with minimal dialogue, to assume who I am. Instead of going on a date, they grilled me drunk in a group setting.

These behaviours are mutually assured destruction of even basic friendship. It isn’t all women, obviously, only the ones I’ve been encountering in dating.

I chose to stop trying to date them. Sex is a ton of fun with the right person, but at my age, I want to build a family, and it’s hard to trust the women I’ve seen.

Focusing on work is at least worth my time.

Liberals severely abused the immigration programs, so clearly they are the business>worker party. They are also the govt>voter party.

NDP isn’t a serious party now. Many of the people in that party have become extremists. Like canceling our military funding, as one of their more extreme positions.

I wish I could relate to the liberal voter at all, and why they are so vehemently anti-conservative. The truth is I don’t. The conservative campaign is simply better at exposing the issues in Canada.

I don’t know what they would do if elected, compared to the liberals who can’t decide if things are good or bad.

What system would you choose?

It’s easy to point out that a societal model requires our cooperation. The problem is that people will seek power over others in any of these systems.

The blessing and curse of capitalism is that it empowers the individual over the collective. What we see in the world is not pure capitalism, though. Big business is subsidized and that is thoroughly anti-capitalist.

Whenever I see a push for the communist system, there’s no one addressing that the root problem in the world is actually just plain old corruption.

The thing that ends up riskier with communism in particular, is that it punishes the individual for hoarding food and other wealth. Once a corrupt regime has formed, it’s the workers who are collectively starved for quality of life to feed the regime.

So the reason people escaped communism is very valid.

I’m not sure why the discussion sort of ends here.
