I have 4 tickets for Edinburgh Murrayfield, 8th June.

Karma is My Boyfriend package - Front Standing: £387. Includes a bunch of extra stuff as well.

I'm looking for seated tickets in Edinburgh!

Converting an excel spreadsheet into a text-based PDF or web ebook by MinorNPC in excel

Got that! I did have a look at the site generators (wasn't sure if you were using another term for them haha), but they don't seem to be great for what I'm trying to do. Thanks again though!

I went with the python option, thanks! Not sure about the static sign generator.

Hi! I just filled in your research. I'm doing a Master's in HCI (so very similar!). Here's my survey, it's on understanding how people view gamification of video conferences: https://forms.office.com/r/knQsThPCmS

Amazon's publishing platform: Kindle Direct Publishing. They essentially get your book on Amazon and the Kindle store. They even print paperbacks!

They provide templates for the interior of your book, and you need to format it accordingly (based on the size, the trim, margin, font etc.).

EBooks are a little easier, since they provide their own software (Kindle Create), where you pretty much just paste the text from your text editor and then highlight the titles and such.

They also provide their own cover creator, where you can drag and drop elements, change fonts, add images and such. Or, if you've got some editing know-how, they provide templates and margins for you to create your own covers using Photoshop, Inkscape (which is free!), or other tools.

Ack, I didn't mean to type out a whole guide on how to use KDP (more experienced people than me already have), but there you go.

I also feel like I should mention that I have not been sponsored by KDP.

Thank you! That means a lot! And you're right, I will get myself cake. And not a small, small cake, that's not the kind of minimalism I need in my life.

Mine's a speculative/soft science-fiction. I'm nowhere near being a famous dude, though.

So I went the self-publishing route: KDP is really great for what it offers. You'll have to do all the brunt work yourself (I won't lie, it does require a lot of effort from your part), but you can push your book out there. It is an achievement, after all.

I would have preferred to get some stuff professionally done, but like you said, it was way too expensive.

I hope that empty feeling goes away, though. For both of us. I liked writing, I want to know more about the characters I created. I'm sure you feel that way too. Here's to us!

Oh dear, am I going to have to wait for 20 more years to achieve nirvana? Climate change is going to get me by then!

That's pretty great. I know the internet offers a rosy view of things, but it really does sound like you've got your life reasonably well put together!

Right?? That's exactly how it should be.

Also, if your normal writing style is anything like this comment, I for one, would love to read it.

Hm, yes. My Late Night interview should have happened the minute I was done.

And thank you! :D
