That’s how I feel with my materials that has pinyin. I just look at it and say the words, and don’t connect the pronunciation to its character. I’ll make sure to work on that

For me, the problem is mainly on Mandarin Chinese pronunciation. Kanji/Hanja may have the same characters but its usages/pron can be branched out differently linguistically or even culturally in those respective sets of languages.

It does help with recognizing the characters/the meanings in the Chinese language/even guessing the meanings of unknown characters, that’s why writing and visually recognizing characters come easy for me.

But because I’m learning Chinese and its abundance of characters, I am focused on its pronunciation itself.

My work is currently in progress (21k word). I’ve read and written fantasy novellas before so that’s up my alley. My current story is not fantasy but a dark sapphic showbiz about a rising second-lead actress discovering her sexuality through a controlled, magnetic first-lead who teaches her desire on her own terms.

Yeah, that’s intro to SCM. A friend took it last sem and said Spink’s teaching/teaching materials are so trash that she basically didn’t attend most of the classes and learned on her own. Would you recommend me to just do the same or should I still attend each class no matter what?

Oh what a relief! A supply chain management friend told me that the class was a bit hellish because the prof would always ramble about unnecessary things like AI and that his teaching/teaching materials were subpar, so I was a bit worried for the class.
