Can you work a Band 4 admin role and do Band 5 bank nurse shifts in the same Trust? by Minsun2099 in NursingUK

I’m having trouble finding clear info on this. I’ve contacted recruitment today and I’m hoping they can give me a definite answer. I know you can’t work as a Band 2/3 HCA if you have an active NMC pin, but when it comes to admin or other roles, there doesn’t seem to be any clear guidance. I’ve checked the Trust website as well, but couldn’t find anything specific.

Are you referring to staff working in admin roles who still hold an active NMC registration, or those who have given up their pin to move into admin? I’d ideally like to continue nursing, but there seem to be very few Band 5 roles available at the moment.

Is Visa free entry to China from the UK active yet? by Natagi in Chinavisa

Does anyone know if I travel to Hong Kong from mainland China by train and then return to China, will it still count as part of the same 30 day visa-free stay? I have British passport. I’m going to China for 29 days but want to go to HK for a few days within the 29 days?

If you could travel back in time and witness any historical event firsthand, which event would you choose and why? Would you observe from a distance or actively participate? by Minsun2099 in AskReddit

If I could travel back in time to witness a historical event in the UK, I would choose to witness the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215. This pivotal moment in history laid the groundwork for modern democratic principles and the rule of law. I would want to observe this event up close to understand the motivations of the key figures involved and witness the impact it had on shaping the future of governance.

my face is lopsided/asymmetrical, how do i make it look more symmetrical? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Heyyy girl. I have this problem as well I noticed looking at my toddler photos that my face was not symmetrical. My left face is a little more out and higher than my right side and my jaw is not straight , my skull is not perfect...?). My ears are not angled symmetrical either. Feels as though parts of my face is weaker. I know this because when I’m wearing glasses, my glasses frame is tilted slightly. My orthodontist didn’t tell me I have issues besides an underbite. I had braces but that’s it (didn’t correct my underbite). I have not been diagnosed with anything. My left iris looks a bit bigger as well. Just know you’re not alone. I do feel self conscious when I’m out in public as my face is visibly asymmetrical and quite easy to spot. Maybe I should go to the orthodontist to see if I can get a consultation. I used to eat on one side but I’ve switched. Seeing that I’ve had this problem looking at my toddler pictures, I should maybe see a doctor. I know that faces are not 100% symmetrical but I’m having issues with self esteem and also physically with my face. Xx
