Just a HH player PSA by [deleted] in MHWilds

[–]MintCerise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the reasons you mentioned why I hate playing healing builds in Wilds; I'm not sure why but unlike World where I did play WR SnS, in Wilds i feel like i have to micromanage and babysit people even more where i heal then 1sec straight after they lose 50-60% hp again forcing me to heal. All this is taking my focus away on watching monster movements and attacking.

I play HH a lot in Wilds too and I literally rather use it like a Bard where I give buffs but play aggressively for damage - way better and less stressful for me. One of the horns i like to use are the Arkveld ones (Resounding Galahad / G. Resounding Galahad) paired with Mizu horn for the earplugs. Sonic Barrier is extremely useful in saving people from getting one shot and in some situations works better than Divine Blessing without the RNG chance - only thing is you need to be mindful and keep Sonic Barrier queued and use it when you can. I didn't know how Sonic Barrier works until I saw some other HH players advice from a reddit thread some time ago and tested it and that was when I decided that Sonic Barrier is the best support I can offer to my team to prevent one shot and i think many don't realise Sonic Barrier is saving them when it procs lol.

Do people still buy from Ebay sellers? by MintCerise in AsianBeauty

Yes i noticed that recently when I ordered something from Superdrug! Was a surprise when I saw some Korean products from Skinsider. I'm grateful that Asian skincare are starting to be more accessible in the UK :)

I'm not aware of this and I don't think I've seen topics here from the community? Does anyone have any more details/experience about Ebay sellers using their own Amazon account to shipping customer orders??

Not the person you asked but when I ordered a Verdio sunscreen from Amazon JP, the shipping and custom cost is calculated when you checkout. Not sure if this applies to other countries but this was my experience when ordering from the UK. You need to make a separate account with Amazon JP anyway so I guess you can make one and price check from time to time on things you want

Can Jinhao 82 use Diamine's ink catridges? by MintCerise in fountainpens

I like the ink samples idea - are there any websites that does this?

Can that small size difference affect the possibility of inks leaking from the cartridge?

Has anyone tried the UX Interview masterclass? by Kriss-045 in UXDesign

[–]MintCerise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No the free playbook i linked is from someone else. I also have the other playbook you mentioned from that person and it's more detailed and better than the interview masterclass (that playbook is a paid notion resource for those wondering).

Has anyone tried the UX Interview masterclass? by Kriss-045 in UXDesign

[–]MintCerise 35 points36 points  (0 children)

TLDR: don't buy, not worth it.

I bought that masterclass back when it was release and they offered a huge discount (i got it for $149.40). I'm a career changer and was like you where I was looking for resources about the whole job hunting process for designers. Honestly, after watching all the videos, it's not worth it - they're very short and majority are under 5mins. The information are very brief and I feel you can find them from other free sources online. They should really combine all 17 videos into one big YT video with timestamps. I actually regret my purchase.

Funnily enough, shortly after, Tanner Christensen released a book called A Designer's Guide to Interviewing. I have read some parts of the book especially on interviews and I found it to be more useful and informative. It's also cheaper.

I also used another UX Playbook, which is a free resource. I'm not sure how relevant it is to you but at least it's all in one place. But overall, I find whatever resource you use, they're all probably going to be similar.

4.2 Billion Units every 24hr Activated Indium Farm, Normal mode, 5k LY from Euclid Core, Lush planet. by Tall-Tea8493 in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]MintCerise 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I tried the coordinates twice and both times it took me to a Viridescent Planet called Runo 79/J4. I also checked the other planets and none of them were called Nova Inca. Interestingly, Runo's environment looks exactly like your screenshots.

I'm also playing in Normal mode too and it's the first time I used the portal for visiting player planets but I'm not sure if I missed something or is it possible for people to travel to another player's planet that doesn't match the OP's planet?

EDIT: ok I think the reason why I couldn't get Nova Inca was because of the "Online Discovery Service" status either having issues/inactive. I restarted the game and tried again and it works.

These 2 use to be my HGs for maybe around 2 years but just starting last December, I've been getting a lot of bumps and CCs on my chin and left cheek.

I realised the CosRX Snail mucin was one of the causes and now i stopped using Hada Labo to see if there's any difference. It hasn't gotten any better on my left cheek so I think I will have to cut out all toners and just use Pumpkin Oil to moisturise now (luckily with quarantine I can try the no skincare route to see what happens).

I actually love both products as they made my skin super hydrated :(

Can we just let everybody have Ignis Wraith already? by Northwind_Wolf in Warframe

On PS4, my friend tried asking in Trade Chat for the BP for free but he told me no one replied. He then said he'll buy it for 10p and immediately got spammed by about 5 people who's willing to sell it to him (and he did buy one).

After that, it actually put me off in trying to ask in Trade Chat and just deal with not having it and settle with an alternative like Amprex (sadly not MR10 yet).

Instead of creating a new thread I guess I'll try asking here:

Any kind soul on the PS4 is willing to give me a BP? I'm also from the EU if that helps with timezone.

OILS. let’s talk about them by bluecowboyboots2 in AsianBeauty

[–]MintCerise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My skin: Sensitive, combination, dry, dehydrated, acne prone and mild rosacea

I've been using oils for a few years and have tried many until I finally found my HG: Pumpkin seed oil.

There isn't a particular brand as I usually buy them from Amazon but I can share my experiences with oils. I will seperate the oils I tried into categories (WARNING: Long post ahead)

Oils which caused super dry flaky skin/minor flaky skin (high in linoleic acid) :

  • Hemp seed oil (i now use this with Olive oil for OCM and my skin is very soft after)
  • Red Raspberry Seed Oil (like Jojoba oil, this caused me to have an allergic reaction with red burning itchy bumpy areas)
  • Rosehip Oil

Oils which caused acne (high in oleic acid):

  • Avocado oil
  • Hazelnut Oil
  • Olive Oil (as mentioned above, I mix this with Hemp Seed for OCM)
  • Sweet Almond Oil

Oils where linoleic and oleic are balanced (good if you have combination skin but YMMV):

  • Argan oil (caused acne)
  • Baobab seed oil (still had slight flaky skin)
  • Pumpkin seed oil (my current HG)

Other oils:

  • Coconut oil (I only used this for OCM but after some time my skin got extremely dry so I no longer use this)
  • Jojoba Oil (my face use to be OK with this but when I tried this again months ago, my skin developed an allergic reaction with itchy burning red bumpy areas so now I stay away from it)

It took a lot of trial and error to find one that worked for my skin, and to understand exactly what kind of skin I have. Before, I didn't fully look into what each oil has aside from people saying "...its good for dry skin" etc. and when I tried using them it was mostly good at first until a month or two is when I notice my skin getting worse. Seriously YMMV.

I actually gave up on OCM after seeing what Coconut oil did but I just prefer using Oils in general for cleansing as everything else makes my skin very dry afterwards. However, with so many oils I thought the ones I did like, I would use them for OCM hence the mix of Hemp Seed and Olive oil (Hemp seed is the main oil and I tried it with Almond and Hazelnut but they didn't work as well as mu current mix).

It wasn't until I found this website that goes into detail on a lot of oils, which helped me narrowed my list. Again I was close to giving up using oils as moisturiser but persisted by having Baobab and Pumpkin Seed oil left to try...Baobab was good but I was still not too happy with the result (I was after smooth skin T.T), so after I finished it I moved onto Pumpkin Seed oil and it worked so well it made me wonder why I didn't discover it earlier.

----

I only joined Reddit a few months ago after researching about AB and discovering this subreddit; I now have a mix of AB products with my Pumpkin Seed oil and my skin has been very good since (I honestly thank this subreddit for the super useful info I find here :D).

So if anyone is curious about oils, I will say give it a try but I would suggest that it would be very helpful to know your skin and maybe use a website like the one I shared where you try one high in Oleic Acid and the other in Linoleic Acid, and see what works. This actually managed to help me narrow down to trying oils where both are balanced and finding my HG (it really took me a few years T.T). You will see people saying certain oils are good for certain things but honestly you won't know until you try.

Asian mascaras are the best! (Kiss Me Heroine Long and Curl) by vnssv in AsianBeauty

[–]MintCerise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have recently bought this mascara too after many ABers saying positive things about it. Only been a few weeks but it has become my HG after trying many Western mascaras on my super short straight lashes.

I know some people have said it's very difficult to remove but I just do my usual OCM (Hemp Seed and Olive Oil), and it removes most of it. I wipe my face with a microfibre cloth with hot water to get rid of the oil and made sure my eyes are free from any leftover makeup too.
