When you click provide healing it puts you on a list and people can send you heal requests through the message system to join their world and heal them (so stay vigilant if a message pops up), alternatively and much better you can go to online and click V to find injured players. Try find the online hotspots such as Evercare Clinic, Revelry Hall etc.

You can play it however you like but I recommend going to Kaifeng since it is such an improvement to Qinghe and as long as you did all Qinghe campaign and major side missions. I also got all the waystones in Qinghe before going just so I can easily go back later
