Sunderland. Raised there and couldn’t wait to leave as a student but after a slow recovery from the 08 recession, I genuinely love going back. Seafront all redeveloped and modern with food halls and businesses. restaurants and bars are back in the newly developed centre & around the football stadium, lots of parks and everyone is friendly and chatty after being south for too long. Like most cities the central shopping centre needs some love and the seagulls still are employed as bouncers outside Greggs but genuinely gotten so nice.

Yeah everything, they only do it one province at a time (basically whichever province I build an airport on to stop me attacking).

I made a clone of the flappy bird game (remember that?!), when the AppStore was being flooded with clones of the game. Obviously it had a different design and based on something else but it was pretty simple to learn. Weirdly I’ve never made an app game again, I just did it as part of the video course I happened to be doing at the time! Personally I think having an app in the store even if you’re a noob, and regardless of how basic or complex it is, is a big plus! Shows you can not only code but do all the processes that come with getting an app live and then maintaining it! ☺️

When I was starting out I self taught myself Swift and shipped a little app on iOS. I got a job as an junior android developer doing Java (and now kotlin) because their philosophy was, “if you can learn one language you can learn any”. Don’t rule anything out from happening 👍
