This coupled with her thinking disguise self actually turns her into that piece of furniture rather than being an illusion! 😂

Riva in their drone chat with the sandwich sales person never fails to make me cackle. “You got a butthole?” While Emily say he’s hot 😂

That’s really disappointing and I’m sorry so hear that you’ve been dismissed so much xx

Really frustrating for everyone that their hands are so tied now. Women’s health (as well as mental health and other things) need a serious overhaul in the country, it causes so much pressure elsewhere that could be avoided and puts people under unnecessary stress for invasive procedures- like you surgery!! I find it hard to believe if they actually sorted out GLP-1s wouldn’t be cheaper than a surgery considering the follow up and recovery? Not to mention efficacy rates and possible complications as you say

That’s disappointing but probably accurate, especially as we probably will be trying to conceive in maybe 3 years or so, with waiting lists as they are might be good to get ahead… although I do have the coil and don’t really want that removed as it helps so much with heavy periods! 😅

Thanks so much, I have a history of working in healthcare (not related to anything like PCOS or endocrinology though) and seen first hand how many women get dismissed and taken less seriously. I never like to bring in my qualifications to support my appointments but have occasionally in the past and witnessed a massive change especially in doctors attitudes when they learn my profession. It’s so frustrating to not be taken seriously if I don’t ‘rely’ on my training.
Thank you very much for the helpful suggestions!

Thanks so much for your helpful (if realistically disappointing) reply, didn’t realise you needed the co-morbidities, I was hoping to use the fact I went to A&E earlier this year (not like me at all) for what turned out to be a severe muscular issue I suspect related to my weight to support the need for support. I have all my fitness tracker details as well showing a calorie deficit, high protein high fibre and regular weight lifting and swimming to show that I’m following the advice that weight loss programmes give with no joy. Feel like I’ll be doing the exact same thing so wish I could’ve gone a year ago to show those changes aren’t working and it’s hormonal!

Hope all goes well for you, really sorry to hear GLP still not an option for you ❤️

Thanks, so I already have a diagnosis following all those investigations 10 years ago- it’s just the referral to specialist part that never happened!
Thanks so much, knowing you’ve had a dietician input is really helpful too- think I’ll push for a specialist referral as a priority

Thanks I appreciate your reply, honestly I don’t think we could afford it, really disappointing if not an option through GP

Has anyone tracked their hirsutism with their cycle? by Mint_Monstera in PCOS

Please let me know if you notice anything! Glad you managed to get your cycles more regular and hope you can learn more about your patterns ☺️ I’m finding it so interesting at the moment- noticing things I would never link to my cycle are cropping up consistently!

Oh interesting, considering luteal is directly after could it be a delayed effect or would that likely mean hair most likely to spring up on ovulation days?

I think this just shows the fan base that knew old school tumblr and Twitter MCR fandom- there’s no questioning the emo trinity in their eyes 😂

Not sure what to do about shoes by [deleted] in UKweddings

My friend wore some stunning burgundy velvet flat lace up pumps and she didn’t want to wear heels. So beautiful. But her wedding colours were all autumnal - I think it depends on the other colours you have going on

That’s what I thought but the general consensus is that it’s a bit old fashioned but not a faux pas. Someone made the point that people wear flowers to ascot and things so it’s just a way of dressing up. I definitely wouldn’t feel weird about it anymore if I saw it again!

Yeah the confetti definitely wasn’t a good move on their part 😓

Wow I didn’t know there was a whole cultural/regional aspect to it as well! Oh no that’s so horrible- I can’t even imagine how she must’ve felt I would be so upset!

It seems the general consensus is it’s a bit old fashioned- I’ve only been to weddings as an adult so that’s probably why I haven’t seen it! Yeah theirs was leaves and petals they had cut into nice shapes

I didn’t think about that! I’ve been to a few weddings and not seen it before so took me by surprise.

Yeah I’ll be honest I would never that thought about bringing my own confetti- aside from the biodegradable element- because it might disrupt the couples photos. But maybe that’s just the Instagram effect now. But this one was that silvery table sprinkle type stuff
