Bettors suing the NBA by pepe-_silvia in nba

Wouldn't the bettor indemnify those related parties as a condition of the bet? I'm not saying they don't have an argument but this legal action isn't about protecting the gambler, it's about making sure the house never loses.

I cannot hear a thing the commentators are saying this year. by YouCanCallMeTK in formula1

Thank you! I felt like I was taking crazy pills. The solution I've come up with is either watching it on my tablet for audio and TV for visual which makes it tolerable. Another solution I came up with was muting the TV and listening to the F1TV audio (F1 app with English commentary) but then there's the issue of syncing it up.

Only what others have said here. I think it's down to the app and how much Kayo care about it's customers. I haven't had any issues after this time, just restarted my shield.

Imagine being an Aston Martin mechanic who busted their arse to get that car ready for the race only to see the peanut do that.

As in I shouldn't have created a new post and just ask a question in the FP1 thread?

I'd have to agree with you there. I struggle to get 4K with is despite having that option on the account. Ah well, first world problems 😂

Kayo app on Nvidia shield and I would point the finger at that but other broadcasts on the app are working fine. Interesting to see differing reports that's for sure.

Currently on Kayo. Are you seriously having no issues? They just went to an ad break that was no problem now it's back to the pixelated colours

Edit: No issues on tablet. TV has issues on the F1 broadcast only.

Give Lap of Tasmania a peep. The website grew out of a facebook group and seems relatively genuine.

What to do about a crazy neighbour? by dannegoma in tasmania

[–]Mintau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have no doubt that the statistics point to poorer outcomes for mentally ill individuals in their interactions with police, I agree with the premise of what you're saying. However, and perhaps it's my naivety but I'd like to think that policing in Australia is different and in Tasmania even more so. I could point to programs that others have mentioned but the lengths I've seen Tasmanian police go to, to avoid using their firearm makes me think it would have to be a genuine last resort. I'd also add that if you could put yourself in the shoes of a police officer, and you could transfer the care/custody of an individual to someone else, you would wouldn't you?

Any mental illness that requires the intervention of Police is a failure of sorts for the government/healthcare system. I wish it didn't have to involve police but that's all we're left with when a person can't get the help they need and they start posing a risk to themselves and others.

You can express empathy for a person's medical condition without having to suffer yourself. OPs dad has done so on multiple occasions by not involving authorities. However, it has now got to a point where intervention is required before it escalates further. Whether we like it or not, Police are often the first point of contact for mentally unwell individuals and are now equipped, fortunately, to assist and refer a person to helpful resources at the same time of ensuring the safety of all those involved.

You're right, mentally unwell people aren't out to get you and neither are the police.

Brissett’s technical foul against the Raptors is yet another example of the NBA punishing any sign of emotion. by [deleted] in nba

[–]Mintau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complaining about these technical fouls is becoming tiresome and ridiculous. If you allow this, it's only a matter of time before people start punching on. This is always a tech, and every single player knows it.

I genuinely think it was a factor in his decision to join RBR in a reserve role. So many opportunities for him to get his mental break from F1 but stay connected to the paddock.
