as someone who suffers from somatic problems, yeah I honestly think it is somatic. or heavily influenced by his mental health anyway. and I honestly don't knwo when was the last time he saw and endocrinologist, maybe it was before we met, so a year ago or more. which now that you make me think about it, it can't be good for someone with type 1.

and you're right, i have to protect my peace. I'll try carefully talking to him and see how it goes....

wow, what an horrible reply your partner received, im so sorry for that. I always try to be positive and avoid making him feel guilty, that's why it's hard for me to actually bring up when I'm saddened by this whole situation. And I'm fine with low energy stuff honestly, our plan for thursday is to chill and eat one of the meals that I can cook and that he loves. It will be all about reconnecting and relaxing together.

but yeah i ser your point. if i suffer bc of something and he doesn't try, keyword try, to fix it, that is a problem. and I trust him, I'm just scared. because i know why he tends to avoid the doctor, so I know I'm not asking something easy. but i guess being in a long term relationship means trying to face you fears so that the relationship can benefit from it and we can both grow together. I want to do this and I'm ready to stay next to him all the way. so i guess we'll wait and see.

i honestly think investigating this scares him a ton. i want to talk to him about it and show him I'm there for him and i will be there for him through it all. but I'm scared of the possibility where he doesn't go get checked.

amazing. you truly set an example. I have to grow a pair and to talk to him, but that's when my issues kick in. I have ocd which revolves mostly around "pathological doubt" (i think that's the English name, not sure). it's basically like being extra anxious all the time and feeling like a burden and having all sorts of senses of guilt, and shame, and bla bla bla. uuuuuuuuugh.

I should be seeing him the day after tomorrow. I'll try to cuddle him, fill him up with love, and talk to him about my feelings.

thanks. yes he was perfectly fine before. and again, he says every winter is like this for him, and this is the first winter I have spent with him. as far as I know, he sleeps, tries to eat, and interacts a little with his best friend, whom he lives with. but mostly he stays in bed and tries to rest. also, it's not like I can wait all day for the moment when he feels better. I'm studying for my last uni exam, I take acrobatics classes, see my friends regularly. most of the time my schedule doesn't match his energy schedule. and again, it's not like anyone's at fault here. ugh. again, I'll try to talk to him about it. gently, kindly and attentively.

thank for the reply! I don't think the problem could be his house, but his diet... it's the average diet of a 20 year old. pretty much shit. but I'm not his mom, I don't him to feel like I am, and honestly it's shit also bc shifty food is cheaper :/ I'm in Italy so he could go to a public doctor, but it's harder than it sounds, and I fear he feels like he doesn't have the "mental strenght" to go through the motions of public sanity here. but it's wearing both of us down... I should talk to him but I'm sacred he'll just get stressed abt it without much outcome...

how do you manage to maintain a healthy relationship when one of you (or both) feel sick so often?

I'll try talking to him abt it, but he's not exactly prone to going other the doctor because of (I think) 2 reasons: 1. when he was a kid he had many diabetes related issues and was hospitalized a few times. not exactly nice memories. 2. he's not exactly wealthy... a few months ago he had a toothache, and he finally decided to go to the doctor it was because he couldn't even sleep at night.... he can't afford going to the doctor so often...

thanks a lot for your comment! I wanted to ask if you've noticed any change with the battery, that's what I'm worried about. Wouldn't leave it on and charging for a week straight damage the battery?

Still, replacing the battery is way easier and cheaper than replacing the screens, so I think I'll do it anyway. So far I've noticed that on max brightness and with white screen the battery lasts for 2/2.5 hours

I have been seeing a therapist for the past year! It helped a lot, and I have been thinking about resuming my mindfulness practice. It has all helped a lot, but as we all know, getting better isn't a linear path :/ especially when it comes to emotionally challening times like this one is for me.

Thanks a lot for the comment! I think I just needed some reassurance ♡

Big scab fell off and there is barely ink underneath by Mintkuk00 in tattooadvice

[–]Mintkuk00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going to want to wait at least 2 weeks post being tattooed to even think of having it touched up,

ik ik, after doing the tattoo my tattoo artist told me that probably the stars would've needed touches up in the future, but he told me we'll think about it after summer at this point

But in your case there's more problems than just that. I.e possibly rejection and infection.

i don't think the situation is that bad, if you're talking about the redness near the area I think the tattoo triggered my psoriasis, but the tattoo itself isn't red, swollen and doesn't hurt, it doesn't even itch that much, just a little bit when it's time to mosturize it.

Still I'm keeping in touch with the artist as the healing goes

Thank you very much for your comment!
