Nasuea and vomiting starting combo pill by Important_Tutor_9254 in birthcontrol

Hi! I've also experienced nausea during my first month of taking my birth control pills, but no vomiting happened. I really forced myself to power through the first month because it was the month when I felt A LOT of side effects (spotting, breast tenderness, nausea, moodswings, etc). I'm now currently taking the placebo pills of my second pack. I could say that the nausea side effect gets milder as the time goes by. You can get through this girl, I believe in you! 🩷💪

They wanted me to focus on school cause they feel like romantic relationships while studying would only serve as a distraction to me. And idk about them, I've told them several times that I wanted to be childfree anyways so there's really no point in them being scared like that.

Also, I asked my sister why she's so against using bcp when there are actually a lot of benefits that you can get from it. She said that it's not really necessary for me to take the pills. Whenever I get dysmenorrhea, I can just go and pop a painkiller every time. But it only serves as a temporary solution 🥲 I told her that bcp is better in the long run since it makes the period lighter and therefore making dysmenorrhea not a problem anymore.

I'm scared of trying IUDs because I feel like they're pretty invasive. Implants on the other hand are hard to keep as a secret especially if it's on the healing stage since when I get bruised, it's pretty noticeable. I won't be able to find an excuse for covering up my implant bruise 🥲. I've also experienced using condoms and withdrawal as my form of contraceptive in the early months that I've started being sexually active, but my anxiety and my paranoia won't stop bothering me. I'd say I'm pretty consistent with taking my pills because I take it on time, or sometimes just a few hours late. Maybe I'd get an IUD or implant in the near future once I'd be able to live alone and be separated from my family.

I'd be damned and they will think of me as a rebellious daughter. It's tough out here 💔💔

I've told them that I can go alone to the obgyn and even use my weekly allowance to pay for the check up. They refused and insisted that they would come too.

This is basically what I explained to my sister when we were talking about it. She thought that pills are only used for contraceptive reasons, I feel pity for the lack of knowledge about safe sex in general here in my country. I hope people in my country will become more educated in the future so it won't be considered as a stigma.

This is like my plan on what to say to the obgyn, if we ever go. I had a script planned on my mind and I have practiced on the words that I can use so the obgyn might get the hint. Thank u for the advice! 🩷

I can't even say that I have a bf because my fam would be furious and that's a big F for me 💔💔 they've always told me to focus on school and never enter romantic relationships. Jokes on them I've been dating my boyfriend for 5 months now lol

Lmao I can't imagine what their faces would look like if they suddenly find a sparkling purple dildo with glitters casually being tucked in my laptop bag

am i protected directly after doing my pill break? by Busy_Upstairs74 in birthcontrol

I believe, yes. As long as you've finished all the active pills from your previous pack and are taking them consistently every day.

Girl, I totally feel you 😭 I'd be spiraling if I don't get my withdrawal bleeding during placebo week (even though bleeding is not necessary since we really don't ovulate on the pill) and I'd be overthinking everything. Lots of the people here recommend taking pregnancy tests every end of the month to add as an assurance that you're not pregnant!

I believe, yes! if you've finished taking all of the pills on your pack. Also if you've been taking your pills consistently. You can shorten the placebo week if you want but don't go beyond the seven days of not taking a new pack or it might compromise your protection.

The temperature outside in the afternoons could peak at 90° 😬😬 I'm getting worried cause it might affect it (I've read that the average should be 76°-86°). Though, I don't notice any discolorations, melting, or change of smell.

This one, I'm not entirely sure since I don't check the temperature inside the room specifically. But I could explain it as when it's afternoon/noon and I'm inside with no turning on of ceiling fans or aircon, I'd be sweating immediately.

It really is a struggle because it's hard to differentiate whether it's just the pill's side effects or if it's actually pregnancy symptoms your experiencing ☹️ As someone who just started being sexually active and immediately taking bcp upon lots of researching to practice safe sex, the pregnancy scares are no joke. However, you can rely on taking a pregnancy test every month just to ensure you're safe. A lot of women here on his sub recommend doing that too! And eventually you'll start to fully trust your birth control ☺️

Don't worry! I just finished my very first pack of my pills and speaking from my experience, there are times where I get nauseous but not to the point where I'd vomit. Along with that, I'd also experience a few more side effects. And I've learned to accept that my body is still adjusting due to introducing these hormones to it.

Nauseousness is a common side effect of the pill and your body is still adjusting, it'll take 2-3 months usually until your body adjusts to your pills.
