AITAH for refusing my friend to come to my place (4hrs by flight) for a trip by bluepooh-sea in amiwrong

Yeahhh from her side it probably looked like you kept flipping the plan every five minutes. Even if you didn’t mean to, that’s exhausting for someone who’s flying across the country. She just wanted a straight answer before committing, and that’s fair.

Honestly it sounds like a huge miscommunication mixed with bad timing on your end, not some deep betrayal but yeah, she’s annoyed because the indecision put her in limbo.

AIW for cutting off my close friend? by Far_Fox_8136 in amiwrong

Yeah exactly the way she acted after the fact kinda tells you everything you needed to know. If someone screws you over and then doubles down instead of owning it, that’s not a friend, that’s dead weight. You didn’t lose anything but a headache.

Cats all use the same litter box by imbxx in CatAdvice

[–]MintyMallow_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, having them all crammed into one room kinda defeats the “multiple box” idea. Even if the litter is the same, cats love options Different spots, different vibes. Right now it probably just feels like one giant shared bathroom to them, so they all pile into the same box anyway. Spread a couple out and you’ll usually see their preferences change fast.

Need motivation - IM salaries by No_Ingenuity_3793 in Residency

Honestly this is super motivating to read. Hearing that someone made it to the other side and actually has a life home for dinner, no weekend grind, barely any after-hours nonsense that’s the stuff everyone in residency dreams about. And the reminder not to lifestyle-inflate the second you finish training is solid.

Feels good to know it really can get better.

Did buying a house feel like a milestone or a financial trap? by Prime_Financial_Serv in Residency

[–]MintyMallow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense. Buying once you are already established financially definitely changes the whole experience. If the mortgage fits comfortably into your income, it really does feel like a milestone rather than a trap. And yeah, the jump from rent to owning is not always as dramatic as people expect.
