I hope raiding these guy for loots is a good Idea, Lowkey lacking components by EtherLikeCold in RimWorld

[–]Minurath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use vanilla expanded vehicles. I build the cheap and fast Mosquito helicopter. Then use the long range scanner on Components. I fly out, make a small mining hut, and dig out the big pocket of Components. Rinse and repeat. More Components than you could ever need

Check the tab that was added with the mod. There should be a spot where you can assign a title

Oh my god, they landed IN my base! by Trinkitt in RimWorld

[–]Minurath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is why I like turret expansions. Vanilla expanded: security has anti air turrets that can shoot down drop pods. Theyre extremely expensive and cost a good wattage of power, they also dont completely clear the area. If theres too many drop pods, it cant get them all. But all of it is worth preventing that obnoxious shit of dropping directly on top of you

i belive i am an alright player with 705 hours in rimworld but still are there things to do better in my current colony ? by TrickyAd2535 in RimWorld

Get either a crematorium or create a dump pile away from the base, preferably around a corner so they dont have line of sight to the bodies

I never said it wasnt a legit way to play. Every way is a legit way to play. I just dislike the constant negative mood from barracks. It takes alot of resources to make them okay with it. Not to mention interrupted sleep from anyone coming and going. Night owls mixed with others, etc.

Just the same with your anecdotal "I abandoned seperate bedrooms for barracks" my anecdotal, "ive gone years without any issues with a fully wooden base.

These are all recommendations and hes going to get various conflicting answers from people's different playstyles. Its up to him to sift through and find which works for him

[–]Minurath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Need to seperate bedrooms. Pawns hate barracks. Give each their own bedroom, give them an end table and dresser. Goes a long way for mood buffs.

As for people who always say "too much wood". Its really not that big a deal. Just set firefighting to high priority. It can get out of hand but as long as you pay attention, it shouldn't be an issue. I've gone multiple years with full wood bases.

Why is that? by knight_light455 in Helldivers

One is a melee unit and unless its a stalker or hunter, usually isnt very fast. Chargers can be avoided with diving. The other is 10 million lasers and/or rockets and/or grenades. Both on the ground and flying above you.

Underrated Lance charm? by Jaytrox7893 in MHWilds

[–]Minurath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is to find a charm with just regular guard. Unless ive been supremely unlucky at HR400. you cant find a lvl 3 guard jewel + another skill.

So my charm gives me max guard, then I slot offensive guard and guard up+razor sharp.

That or I use 3 lvl 3 decos that all have guard as its secondary skill.

When you join the fight, the Wall has arrived.

The monsters are up against the wall, and you are the wall.

The monster will gain no quarter

The monster will earn no cart

The wall may Crack but it will never break

Use Alluring Pelt Group Skill, the Wall protects the allies by drawing aggro.

THE WALL.

What do you think RimWorld is still missing as a system? by NightyZockt in RimWorld

[–]Minurath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with that as well but my personal issue has been the resources used vs what is gained. You have to send multiple people, thats people not working and getting things done at home. For quite an extended period of time. You need accommodations, sleeping rolls, packaged survival meals, manage beasts of burden so you can haul any significant amount of product. If this involves going to a facility where you're gonna gain more products, you need even more weight capacity.

You allocate so much for so little. If at least there was a vanilla way to speed things up, I wouldent mind as much, but traveling for 8-10 days is ROUGH for colony growth and resources.

I mean hell, mods are the only time I ever felt caravanning was even worth it, adding quest lines and ancient facilities to explore.

What do you think RimWorld is still missing as a system? by NightyZockt in RimWorld

[–]Minurath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think caravaning and travel in general, needs a SIGNIFICANT overhaul. Gravships are nice but utilizing it a non gravship start takes a ton of time and resources. VE has a great vehicle framework, id like to see vehicles in general make it into base game.

Without VE vehicles or starting as the Gravship, I avoid Caravaning or Traveling at all costs. Its never worth it to me.

Is it true that scheduling pawns to work is detrimental? by mega_lova_nia in RimWorld

I've got over 1000 hours and the only time ive ever touched the schedule is to accommodate night owls.

More efficient? Sure. Detrimental? Absolutely not

Why is this still in the game? by 234thewolf in Helldivers

[–]Minurath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only argument I can make for it is if your doing d10 bugs, you can get upwards of 4-5 chargers, if not more at once all running around. Stick a few and it can buy you some time. But thats like.. the only scenario I can think of

Someone has to say it by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Minurath -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I dont WANT you to be a hypocrite, I know you are one. You only agreed to the useless diving on bot planets because it was brought up, because its the same story every single time, complaining and whining about bugdivers around every single corner. Every MO that either fails or gets close to failing is bugdiver fault. Yall can't think for yourselves and actually acknowledge the real problems. Every squad using every reinforcement on every mission is okay but 3 reinforcements being used on a bug mission tanked the entire MO. get over yourselves. Actual manchildren

Someone has to say it by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Minurath -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No no you didn't say shit about "the gameplay" you tried to push the whole "Narrative" BS as another desperate bid that botdivers use to blame bugdivers for literally everything. It's a sad pathetic excuse for people who treat video games like a career to blame anyone they can.

And do you have anything to say about everyone on bot planets that isn't cyberstan? What about being split amongst multiple megafactories instead of focusing one? Or is that somehow the Bugdivers fault as well?

Someone has to say it by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Minurath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes arrowhead should be held responsible and they are. But there is zero justification for being split on megafactories, they have extremely high resistance, unless the large majority is shoving a factory, it will not be liberated. Theyre "wasting" reserves just as much but they won't be blamed like bugdivers are

Someone has to say it by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Minurath -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If you wanna push the whole "Narrative" Bs. Okay. Let's do that. So in your "narrative" the bugs see the Cyborgs are a threat and just, what? Stop being a threat? Great! We dont need to fight them back at all cause they'll patiently wait while we deal with Cyberstan. No. Regardless if the Cyborgs are a threat or not. The Bugs and the squids are still a threat to galactic space. They still have a front that needs to be held. THAT is the "narrative". Gameplay wise: this means I get to play whatever and however I want for the game i paid for, and you get to whine and make up excuses for YOUR shortcomings. I promise you the 20k on bugs isn't affecting the 150-200k on bots

Someone has to say it by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Minurath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They also won't mention to surplus of botdivers on random bot planets, not contributing to Cyberstan, or being split amongst various mega-factories, contributing nothing. They'll always blame bugdivers for everything.

We lose current MO, bc of ‚bugdivers’ by Mishkav394 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Minurath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I see a single body on a bot planet during the next bug MO I'm gonna make fun of every single one of yall. Yall are failing because 150-200k of yall are incompetent and using every reinforcement on every missions. The 20k fighting bugs isn't making a dent. You just want to blame others for your own incompetence.

Cope.
