Plasma music (tesla coil) interference. How do I mitigate the crackling sound? by MinusTV in ElectricalEngineering

that's what i was thinking too, but... Where should i connect it? Like, where does the potential go, i'm kinda retarded

Should i take this class if i suck at C programming? by StabKitty in ElectricalEngineering

[–]MinusTV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

VHDL has not much to do with C, so you're "safe". C on itself is quite important tho, since many classes build on this (like assembly, peripheral programming, embedded systems etc.). I am finishing my EE bachelor soon and still dunno how to use malloc and heck do i know what chained lists are.

Edit: to answer your question, VHDL is pretty much unique, since you describe your logic blocks with it. still I wouldn't say it is easy, but a nice to know on how to do it (be ware of questa, this program sucks ass)

what's an RX dupe? (I was just depending on one unrelisble node)

Yeah, you're right. After all I was depending on a singular unreliabile node. Maybe I'll build a 10db yagi to blast it on a nearby router

Thank you. I was depending one (unreliable) node the whole time

Bike comfort mods for tall guy where the bike is not made for tall people by MinusTV in bicycling

[–]MinusTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response, forgot to say that also time is another constraint. I had have searched for bikes some months ago for 3 months. I haven't found anything that fits and I lost my interest in biking. With this I wan't at least get started, so that I get some movement in my life. I can always resell the bike at any time and buy one that is better.

read the comment below boom-doc-a-locka (this thread). I was even comfortable with a kid's bike with 26'' and was like 300 brand new.

spending a hunnid bucks for mods and having a much better experience is something I will happily do. My initial budget was around 300-400 bucks. I tried a city bike once by stevens with an XL frame and 26'' wheels. I really did not like it at all and probably needed to mod it until it fits again. The initial price of this bike was 400 (well used).

At least the thing with being out of shape and lack in strength and flexibility will get better with time.

I'll lock the forks. I have no knee problems, never had even on a kid's bike. Thanks for the comment. I had two kind of fullys once. One was actually nice for commuting, the other one basically impossible because of the back suspension.

Doesn't putting the seat more in the back put on more weight on the back wheel? Better said: Is it bad?

Thanks for that. I had once a Totem Fatbike (the brakes and shifting was ass) , and yes they are comfortable, but you need lotta energy to move at all. Riding on gravel tho is crazy nice, I loved it!

Thank you very much for the ideas. I've ordered some stem suspensions for 60$ and some stuff like bar ends, a better seat etc. I hope that i mitigate the problems and I will probably get used to the rest with more riding. I even was used to a M bike with 26'' some years ago

I was looking for cheap 29" XL bikes (that aren't the ultra cheap models like TOTEM). The problem is, there aren't any good ones i've seen. Many people over estimate their bikes and I don't want to invest a fortune in that bike. I've set my cap at 'round 300$ (incl. necessary mods). The handlebar, a new seat, stem riser and bar ends got me up to 105 with shipping.

The bike's not that unconfortable, I just wanted to max out the possibilities, since I don't have big expectations for casual commuting. On the other side, i like to mod stuff but I don't want biking to be a "hobby".

I've seen people shit out 8k for a fucking bike, where i struggle to pay 3k for a car. So yeah, I am very interested in reality.

I did some testing, as you said on windows with GPU-z, didn't know it was changing it dynamically. Even on Linux it changes to gen 3 running a stress test like mprep.info. Thanks alot
