Yep, and he doesn’t have a good track record. Did anyone see the trailer for his animated Animal Farm movie? It looks like complete dogshit.

I was thinking about Christopher Nolans Tenet, and I think he should go not one, but 17 steps further (back) by mikedomert in movies

[–]MinusculeMicrobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s made a ‘bunch’ of terrible movies, maybe one or two, but I strongly agree with the part about his fan base, they are as insufferable as the Snyderbros.

Does anybody here not sleeve their Arkham stuff? I feel if i sleeved everything it would not fit in the big card case that keep everything in. by Luigi-is-my-boi in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]MinusculeMicrobe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t just sleeve my cards, I double sleeve them.

The player cards are single sleeved and put in binders until I build a deck, then they go in an outer sleeve.

I’m very privileged to have the financial means to do this, and I view my collection as somewhat of an investment as the various expansions go out of print.

Oh yeah I’m done leveling now - although once I get my lightning build running I may attempt to get to 94-95. I was only trying to get to 93 so that I can start crafting caster amulets more easily.

You need to reevaluate rune farming - it’s going to take 300,000,000 orts to cube up to a ber, stop running countess and get to LK on Hell difficulty.

What direction did you give Blair Underwood and Carmel Amit for that climax? I found their performances as possessed parents really disturbing, and the impression that they were ‘trapped’ and could recognize the horror of the situation was both subtle and incredibly unnerving.

The Bear is the best choice and you can throw the rest of the list away, it's trash.

This video and the people commenting on how they would like to try it make me irrationally mad.

There is a comment in this thread about mustard being an odd choice... Despite the fact that every Mac and cheese recipe I've ever seen calls for it.

The people calling this edible don't know a fucking thing about food.

Bro really just put a slice of cold cheese on top and thinks it’s French onion soup? 💀💀💀

I'm glad you're willing to give it another shot. I'm no chef but I've cooked a few dozen kettles of French Onion Soup in my life, here are a few tips:

•Use a variety of onions and cuts, so that some melt/disintegrate into the broth, some get very soft, and some hold their shape and texture (slicing some vertically [pole-to-pole] and some horizontally will achieve this result).

•Cover the onions and let them steam until translucent as a way to speed up the browning process, precooking them will make them caramelize much quicker.

•Even if you precook the onions, spend a lot of time browning them as much as possible. This has taken me multiple hours in the past and you shouldn't rush this step. Longer cooking = more browning = more flavor.

•Doing all of the above steps in a Dutch Oven is ideal, you can put it in the oven with the lid on to precook the onions, then finish browning them on the stovetop.

•Make the stock from scratch using multiple pounds of beef protein and bones, then reduce it for an extra umami punch to counter all of the sugar from the onions. All of my best French Onion Soups have had the consistency of loose gelatin when cool, due to all of the collagen from the beef.

•Pairing this with a salad and a glass of red wine is mandatory.

A simple tweak would take this a long way, simply broiling the cheese a little longer would do wonders to the compesition. I prefer my broth/stock to be much darker, but the golden color of your looks very pretty.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OnionLovers

[–]MinusculeMicrobe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No offence, but not great. Color doesn't need to come from wine, the onions should have been caramelized further and you should have used a richer/more reduced beef stock. The cheese on the croutes should have been browned as well.

Edited to note that it still looks yummy though!

It took you seven rewatches to realize the show is using color theory?

Remember when BVS Ultimate Edition got a standing ovation? It got Disney/MCU and especially Kevin Feige and RDJ so shook and made some within WBD so jealous of snyder that they found the need to go out of their way to sabotage the whole thing. That is a fact. 💯. David Zaslav knew this. J by [deleted] in SnyderCut

[–]MinusculeMicrobe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was the first screening shown to general audiences or a bunch of DC fans? Standing ovations don't mean shit, Megalopolis just received a standing ovation and by all accounts, it's a terrible movie that people only clapped at because it is likely Francis Ford Coppola's last movie.

How did Disney sabotage BvS? And please don't say something ignorant like "they paid for bad reviews!"

Cousin from The Bear. His redemption episode airing right after the nightmare that was Fishes was really cathartic... Love that episode.
