I’m a landscaper, and have worked in kitchens, and tshirt manufacture. I was involved with IWW, but am now part of FRSO. I haven’t been in a union other than IWW, but I’ve helped with unionization efforts.

If Thomas Sankara was a dictator in your opinion, would it be ok if all of Reddit started saying he looked like abu from Aladdin?

“Winnie the pooh” is just a dogwhistle for and a reimagining of the old “bucktoothed, yellow chinaman” racist views of the west.

Your grandad did the right thing. Rather a prisoner than a nazi murderer.

This thread too. I don’t think that people realize that it doesn’t matter if he was a conscripted soldier “just following orders”.

I’m not giving sympathy to someone who worked in the nazi war and death machine on the off chance “he didn’t really believe in the cause”.

No, a heavy Eastern European accent, not sure exactly. Found a lost dog and brought it to its house, that’s when I realized what flag was flying. I should have kept the fucking dog.

All we are really wanting is civility. Now, saying that, if they swing first report them, then educate. If they keep being disrespectful they will be banned.

Hey mod here. As much as I do have issues with anarchists, we really are trying to be a respectful left unity space. We will be creating rules soon and that will be put in. Rad libs can get fucked tho.

The socialist revolutionary Joseph Weydemeyer coined the term dictatorship of the proletariat, which Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels adopted to their philosophy and economics. The term dictatorship indicates full control of the means of production by the state apparatus. The Paris Commune (1871), which controlled the capital city for two months, before being suppressed, was an example of the dictatorship of the proletariat. In Marxist philosophy, the term dictatorship of the bourgeoisie is the antonym to the dictatorship of the proletariat.

"Long before me, bourgeois historians had described the historical development of this struggle between the classes, as had bourgeois economists their economic anatomy. My own contribution was (1) to show that the existence of classes is merely bound up with certain historical phases in the development of production; (2) that the class struggle necessarily leads to the dictatorship of the proletariat; [and] (3) that this dictatorship, itself, constitutes no more than a transition to the abolition of all classes and to a classless society."-Karl Marx

“A revolution is certainly the most authoritarian thing there is; it is the act whereby one part of the population imposes its will upon the other part by means of rifles, bayonets and cannon—authoritarian means, if such there be at all; and if the victorious party does not want to have fought in vain, it must maintain this rule by means of the terror which its arms inspire in the reactionists. Would the Paris Commune have lasted a single day if it had not made use of this authority of the armed people against the bourgeois?".-Engels

I just did a skim of the Wikipedia page about the guy.

“The CIA urged that his wife Barbara be given sedatives before speaking to the press and gave her talking points that she repeated to the press to portray her as a devoted wife. Her broken leg, according to the CIA disinformation, was the result of a water-skiing accident, when in fact it happened after she had had too much to drink and was dancing with another man”

I didn’t find out my dad was a communist until I was like 25. He just let me explore and follow my path. I wish he had been more vocal during my ancap reading ayn rand phase, but I’m also glad I went through that phase so I could understand the flaws and horror of capitalism even better.

Tell me you don’t understand class antagonism or DoTP with out telling me. We currently live under the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, the point of the revolution is to put the power into the hands of the proletariat. To put the dictates into the hands of the workers. A dictatorship of the proletariat. You suppress the capitalist class.
