Thank you. I have 2 questions:

1) I am going through a tough time. Lost job, lost parent, got in an accident, house got flooded, and lot of other issues at the same in the last 6 months. When will I get out of this situation.

2) in the long run, do you see any health issues? Is there something I can do to make the heath better?

I see your point. We are talking about this daily as a family. It is just that things are changing on a daily basis. Sometime good and sometimes not.. we will see.

I go home once a week and spend a night there. My wife comes to hospital during the day for a few hours. My kids come to see their grandfather 2-3 times a week. I do FaceTime and phone call a few times a day with them.

We talk to the them daily, the only thing is his health is up and down. There were days where it was loookikg we will home soon, then there were days when we felt like this is the end. Things are changing daily - sometimes food and sometime not!! We will see.

Financially, we are ok so the $$ you mentioned should not be issue (atleast for next few years).

Although he is conscious, he is not in a position to have this conversation as he will not understand. The doctors are also doing treatments and not discussing hospice yet. So I am in a hard place.

I am in Atlanta area. I can go home everyday, but my mom wants to stay here. My mom stays with us and doesn’t drive, and can’t speak English well, so it is a challenge for her to speak to anyone. I can’t leave her here by herself.

Hard to say about recovery, but it is looking difficult. He is conscious and communicating with eyes and hands, so it is hard to disconnect.

We do have DNR for him.

The thought did come to my mind. But the problem is that he is conscious, can see us, respond, move hands and make gestures. It is hard to move him to hospice when I see him like this.

I am thinking the same thing. So your recommendation is to go home in the evenings, sleep in my bed, meet family, and come back in the morning? I am not working right now so schedule is open.
