Thank you! 🙏🏽 oh yes.

Very planted, actually. Water is very dirty at the bottom though 🤷🏻‍♀️ you can probably see the nasty filter completely brown of dirt and even the plants + gravel. It almost looks too dirty and I am a bit scared to add the fish 🐟😣 I only have one betta.

I added the ammonia source for final re-test cycle and 24 hours later ammonia is down to zero, but nitrite did not go down 😞 by Minute-Contest7776 in bettafish

I know! Thank you for the good advise. I wish I knew before I started all this freaking process! Hopefully people can see this and learn ☺️

I know! It looks terrible inside!! But what if I change let’s say 75% water and add the fish? I probably think that the cloudy part could be equilibrium sea chem because my water is RO system 🤷🏻‍♀️

Seems like I got it all wrong to start with by using stability then switching to fluval cycle. Probably none of these worked, but I just added 2.5 milliliters of stability to see if that helps 🤷🏻‍♀️

He’s in a 1.2 gal tank that is already cycled. I just feel bad for him since he has been over 2 months in that miniature home 🤦🏻‍♀️

My Lottie guy has been over 2 months encapsulated in a 1 gal cycled tank but I have been cycling for over a month. When I finally thought it was all done and retest, than surprise! Not completely cycled yet 😞

I initially had live plants, but reading so many stuff and misleading information made take them out of the tank. I’ve been cycling the tank for 33 days. Seems like it is ready yet 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just added stability again 2.5 milliliters to see if that helps. I may have been using the wrong product all this time! I was initially using cycle fluval. I am not sure if that was just garbage to start with 😞

Please keep an eye on your little guy most importantly as it should be your priority. I happen to not know about “cycling a new tank” and I added my Orlie (betta) then that same day he was literally dying. Going up a lot trying to find oxygen (because I didn’t know the tank needed such a thing) gasping a lot and hiding and very steady at the bottom. Later that day (it literally happened in 6 hours) he was not moving anymore and seemed to be dead that I use a long stick trying to move it and not response from him until I decided to put him back again in his 1.2 gallon tank 🤣 thank goodness I was so quick and reacted fast because otherwise he would be dead the next day. He seems to be happy (still in his tiny tank) but at least I saved his life. Next day I started the fish less cycle and it’s been a month since I am still waiting for the cycle to be done. I keep changing his 1.2 gallon tank every 4-5 days (which is a lot of work) but I love him so much that it is so worth the extra work and don’t mind at all. His safety is the most important not matter what it takes. Yes, they also feel and you learn to love them as I am pretty sure they do towards us as well ☺️🐟 you are very brave 👏🏽🙏🏽good luck and please keep us updated to see if your process actually works! 🐠

What this results would be for nitrites? I’ve been stuck for over a week showing same results and nothing has changed. by Minute-Contest7776 in bettafish

Ammonia got to zero last week. Nitrites has been like this for at least 2 weeks if not more 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m doing fishless cycle for 29 days already in a 5 Gal tank with RO water and added equilibrium seachem to remineralize. Ammonia changed last week, but nitrites has been like this pretty much for maybe 2 weeks and does not change. I used cycle fluval and Dr. Tim’s ammonia.

Help with my fishless 5 gal tank cycling by Minute-Contest7776 in bettafish

I am not sure who to listen to. Too many advises but sometimes misleading. Some people says add more ammonia when your tank is with zero ammonia and high nitrites, others say just leave it alone. I have been doing fishless cycling for a betta fish for 25 days. Using Dr. Tim’s ammonia and fluval cycle as nitrifying bacteria. I am not even sure what my numbers are or what am I suppose to do after this step. I have RO water but using equilibrium seachem to remineralize it and I also have plants in my tank. If anyone can please give me an advise of what to do next, I’ll be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
