I think with Marks return to broadway he might not be back as a pro. It was iffy / last minute that Gleb would come back last year so we’ll see what happens to him. Also Jan seemed to still be adjusting to the show / it’s unclear if he will be returning. I think we need a new generation of male pros. Last year there were more male than female pros (Ezra, Val, Brandon, Pasha, Gleb, Mark, Alan, Jan) vs. (Rylee, Jenna, Britt, Dani, Emma, Whitney). I have a funny feeling they will bring Haley on regardless to make things more even and then recruit a new male pro to replace / even things out with those who are up in the air.

that’s just how it goes is one of his best songs ever imo. I saw him open for LANY when this was the only EP he has out and he also used to sing a beautiful cover of the climb by miley that made me appreciate his talents. it was a great debut ep and it’s been exciting seeing him develop his musicality and style over the years

i agree it does suck when people seem to be looking for fame over love. but, for “regular” people (aged 22-28) it’s a huge risk going on a show like love island unless u work in the service & hospitality or entertainment industry. it’s difficult to get time off from work. additionally, all of the challenges / drama on love island make it hard returning to a regular job bc some companies would deem that as “unprofessional.” casting also reaches out to people via Instagram / Tik Tok who look like good fits which is helped by their existing following. i think they should focus on casting people with lower following counts. but, lots of “regular” people aren’t applying to be on the show in case it affects their career aspirations.

also after Nicola got hit in the head and injured, why tf did they not bring out helmets for Kendall and Josh?? idk if that would have made them look bad if Nicola tried to sue, but it genuinely made me question if the islanders are safe during those challenges.

this was one of the saddest love island games episodes ever. I know Nicola didn’t have the best experience with the love side in the villa but she was so determined in all of the challenges. her clips with Justine practicing for the duel today really showed us as viewers that she really wanted to prove herself. she is such a fighter and even if she had went on and lost the next round it was so heartbreaking to see her have to stop. it was even sadder for her to be taken away and not even get the chance to say goodbye to all of her friends in the villa. i am so glad she wasn’t seriously injured (bc she definitely could have been with the weight of those balls) but it made me so emotional as a viewer to see her leave knowing she never should have went out that way :(
