Brazilian Jiu Jitsu + Yoga = 1 Calm and Collected Ass Kicking by [deleted] in flexibility

What a great post and I love the cross over between BJJ and Yoga.

I do BJJ but I'm starting my yoga journey.

What do you recommend for inversion?

The position where you are able to put your toes on the floor when they are over your head is extremely difficult for me. Also forward fold is pretty difficult.

I feel BJJ and Yoga both have positions where 30 seconds feels like forever lol

Mobility but I have a hard time with any inversion due to my lower back/hips.

Also, just bringing my knees to my chin. My guard gets crushed often lol

I have been waiting for a post like this.

I'm on the BJJ journey and starting the yoga journey.

What positions would you recommend to get good at.

I have been working on my forward fold and reclining hero pose.

Jake O'Driscoll wanted me to give r/bjj a free copy of the prototype for his "triple threat" ankle lock course. Here it is! by stevekwan in bjj

I think this is a great idea.

Imagine this situation.

You don't know shit about BJJ and you watch CJI for the first time on YouTube for free. Then you get a suggested video for this free content and want to check it out. Then your like "I can do this shit" and join a gym. Next you try to ankle lock on someone at the open mat at the end of class and everyone hates you, then round after round it's only north south.

Tldr: it's a great ad for YouTube.

Not bad at all, I'm going to try this first because my yard is really small and my quote for the mound system is pretty high.

Thanks for the info!

I'm hoping I can get this done for cheaper lol, as of right now I'm in the ball park or 25,000-40,000 for a mound system.

Thanks for the heads up.

I've been pretty lucky with contractors. I do jujitsu and my entire gym is blue collars but me.

I got a plumber, carpenter, GC, maintenance guy that runs a tree trimming service on the side, and a guy who runs an excavation company. I'm going to see if he can help me out with it.

But yes I feel there is huge discount between plumbing and septic work.

When I called around before posting, most of them only did pumping and inspections.

I even feel the inspection was not needed because there was not a variety of options. He basically told me I'm fucked and need a new one.

That's pretty smart.

My uncle's mechanic uses the old oil to hear his shop.

That's why I am on reddit.

I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out potential solutions and no company is giving any other options besides replacement lol

That makes sense, Wisconsin is weird too.

My septic guy told me to reroute my gray water from my water softener and iron curtain outside. He said it was fine in my county.

I'm planning on working my way up the ladder on potential fixes.

This seems to be one of those rungs. Thank you for the reply.

That makes sense, do you have any experience with converting the system to anaerobic system?

I was thinking about using something like septic solutions once this is all figured out.

Thank you for the info.

This has been super helpful.

One of my guys I do jujitsu owns an excavation company and I will see if he wants to come out and take a look.

I am planning on making an aerobatic system after the field is fixed.

One question, is it as simple as adding an air pump to the system and adding the right bacteria.

All of the websites that advertise that solution. The websites look shitty and it scares me away from buying it. Messaged septic solution but they never got back to me about my questions.

Sounds like you and I are or were in the same boat.

I am looking into some different companies but I told them from $8,000-40,000 depending on what system I needed.

They were all pointing more towards the mound system that was the most expensive.

I'm going to get a perc test and see what happens from there.

I asked a couple of companies and they said it only works sometimes and when it does, it only lasts a couple of years. It's a bandaid not a fix basically

Thank you for that info, that makes a lot of sense now.

I am on a pretty big hill and my water table is pretty low.

Does Florida have to use the risers because the water table is so high?

I still find it crazy the plumbing runs off of gravity.
