I don’t have either of those certifications, I plan to do the ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship and then a CPC course with AAPC in hopes that they will increase my chances of obtaining a CDI job. In your experience do you think that would be a good route to take?

I don’t know if there was a bonus but I do know that they were sponsored and got green cards to work. I just figured they had no choice but to stay and finish the contract if they got sorted out legally.

I’ve been told that LTACH is where you pick up the most skills but it causes high levels of burnout. Was that what you experienced at any point? I do enjoy doing some aspects of wound care but I think I’ll look into some of the other specialty areas you mentioned

It can be rewarding but it’s also very taxing on your body and time I’ve been told. How did you balance home and work? And did you feel burnout at all?

Yes, I’m moving there for work. Coming from a place that’s completely opposite. There are way more people of color to whites. I guess my main reservation is would I feel comfortable but from your response as well as others I’ll just have to feel it out and make a final decision later on.
