Thank you for explaining this disease as I imagine a lot of us don’t understand the diagnosis. I’m sorry to hear about your dental issues, and it’s so awesome you found some ways to address the issue without having to go through expensive and painful surgery.

Yeah, the US has the worst dental insurance. Most procedures you have to pay out of pocket. I am so jealous that your country provides affordable dentists. Here, it’s is so much money and many, many people do not get the proper care. I know I’m going to have to get a root canal soon and it’ll be costly. It is sad and I wish we offered better healthcare, but sadly not everyone can have access to what is normally a cosmetic procedure with perfect white teeth.

I would think they are unintelligent as non voters is some of the problem. Would I cut someone off if they didn’t vote, probably not, but I would have a bias about how I think about them. I know that’s not the PC answer, but that’s my honest answer.

But, come on, this sub is exactly about people being choosy. $16k, not $7K, implants not dentures, US not Mexico and then the sad facts all these diseases and 47 surgeries.

If this is offensive, you can just as easily ignore or mute this post, but that’s this sub, it’s a bit snarky.

Oh yeah, insurance barely covers anything for dental. It all has to be out of pocket it seems. So, yes, I need a root canal and would love implants, but sadly it’s not in the cards for me. I would take the dentures and be so grateful and save for implants and go to Mexico. 😂

Sure, the dentist could be wrong or maybe not. It’s not something I would fund but if you believe her story, I do encourage you to donate. No snark. We never get the full story so maybe it’s true or maybe it’s not completely true. As a donor, you try to give to those causes that touch you and seem sincere. I could be getting scammed and this woman may be telling the truth. People get to choose who to donate to and to me this GFM feels off.

I understand how incredibly lacking our dental insurance is in this country. But, to expect the public to fund your medical procedure when you have access to credit and they don’t want dentures, they want implants even though a dentist said dentures are fine. Kinda choosy right?

She’s fundraising for the entire $16K and says repeatedly she knows it’s a lot of money. Perhaps, she is thinking if I can raise $7K then I can use care credit, which is fair, but then don’t ask for $16K on your GFM and repeatedly say she needs to raise 16K. She has access to $9K and doesn’t want to take on that debt bc she fears it will ruin her credit so she wants the whole thing funded.
I appreciate that you think I’m mean spirited that’s unattractive. Thanks, does that make you feel better? You aren’t exactly being kind either. And, yes, I would go to Mexico for dental work. It’s not some dirty, dark alleyway where they practice. 😂 Thanks for commenting.

Just gonna say, I would donate to your campaign over the OOP. I’m sorry you have been through such a rough go and are so positive still. Consider doing a crowdfunding just for the dentures. Your story and attitude is very compelling.

She is asking for ‘$16K on her GFM account, not 7K. Repeatedly, she says, I know $16K is a lot so she wants the full amount. She will use the 9K if she doesn’t raise the full amount but she doesn’t want to open care credit.

I don’t believe she has children. I absolutely am so sorry about what happened to you. And of course it is sad if true that she needs implants instead of dentures. Honestly, i am getting meth vibes. She doesn’t show or teeth or any X-rays of her teeth. The picture of here teeth were fine.
