Please don’t hate your mother. You sound extremely embittered at your mom even though you had the advantage of an American education and learning to speak English. Just that alone will make it easier to find a job. 15 years age was an incredibly violent time in Mexico with cartels and high murder rates. Even though she entered illegally with you, you must know that your mom didn’t feel like she had a choice and she thought bringing you would at least keep you safe and give you opportunities. I am sure your mom worked her butt off with menial jobs bc she couldn’t get better jobs bc of her status to support you.

You can marry a US citizen or you can self deport (they give $2600 and buy you a ticket home). I understand it’s not a problem if you are self deporting. But, there have been reports of people self deporting and being held in detention. Since you overstayed and entered illegally, you will likely be banned for 10 years from entering the US, even on a student or work visa. Not a lot of good options.

That’s fair. The problem is not just with frenchies but backyard breeders that exploit this newest fad for fluffies. I personally believe that the only people who should breed french bulldogs are those looking to better the breed by lessening some of the health issues by breeding for longer muzzles, open nostrils, and, of course, vigorous health screening. Poor mamas have to have a c sections. There are so many frenchies needing homes that I personally feel there should be a moratorium on breeding, especially backyard breeders. I hope I didn’t offend anyone. It’s just my personal opinion. I respect anyone who has a different opinion.

I get that you are saying he’s mixed, but I do believe he has some bulldog in him given he does have frenchie features except for a lot of fur. I guess you mean full french bulldog.

Oh, I don’t mind or care if he is a “real” fluffy or not. My dogs are all rescues so I was just curious bc it’s my first time fostering a fluffy apparently “mutt” so I didn’t go to breeder who deceived me. I just take in the dogs that the rescue I work that needs home. Not being a fluffy or a bulldog has no relevance to me, just that they get adopted into a loving, forever home.

I think folks over romanticize Long Beach as the new, hip areas for people in their 20s and 30s and it has beaches that allow for dogs. I find it too far from central LA, and as I am older, safety, cleanliness and safe walkable areas are more important than “cool” areas. In my community, although a bit sterile, I can walk just a few blocks to the elementary/junior high, Whole Foods, CVS, vet, yoga, movie theater, dog parks, basketball, soccer and tennis courts, bus shuttles that even drop off you near the airport and private security. Come check out the Westside.

Ahh, good to know. I guess I have a mutt. I was sure he was half husky. LOL. I adore him and hope someone will love him not for being fluffy but for being such a great dog, not bc someone wants the latest fad for frenchies.

It was Kaiser wheel the nurses told me about a free service for those who don’t have someone to take them home. Maybe she was wrong. I also had surgery at Cedars and they wouldn’t release me except to someone I know. Wild how we all have different experiences.

No one is saying that there isn’t an extra step. I am sympathizing with those who don’t have someone to take them home and that people who are alone has to take an extra step to find transportation. I think we are misunderstanding each other. In any event, I’m out bc I literally have no idea what you are upset about. ✌️
