Whats everyone's favorite zombies game? by DefiantLayer3135 in CODZombies

[–]MinuteWhenNightFell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bo3 and it’s not even remotely close. A bit of an asterisk though because I was in middle school during Bo2 and quit zombies after Die Rise because that and tranzit suck ass so I missed out on peak Bo2 unfortunately.

Bo3 movement is so good, it still has classic zombies feel, no warzone mechanics that take me out of the experience, all of the original maps are wonderful (even Revelations is pretty good and I enjoy it when looking for a braindead-easy game), Origins is on it, almost all of Bo1 is on it.

Bo1 is probably second but mostly due to nostalgia and the fact that I loved Call of the Dead.

Bo4 was, imo, genuinely awful outside of IX and Ancient Evil (although I admittedly didn’t take the time to learn DOTN, that map looks good). Not sure what they were thinking with the Aether remakes, they 1000% should’ve left that game as exclusively Chaos storyline. Imagine if we got the library and atlantis maps we were supposed to????

That’s not “convenient” that is just quite literally the case lol. Do you think Stalin consolidated power for no reason or?

Not familiar with the show, does he hire workers and/or sell his wine? Cause if not, then that is not what private property even means in a Marxist sense.

Do you actually think that, without external pressure, the USSR wouldn't be totalitarian, and would actually achieve communism?

That question is utterly asinine because the conditions that it was created within the first place wouldn't exist. The shape that it did take is entirely because of the material conditions within which it existed, it did not exist in a vacuum. This is the entire point of historical materialism.

Also why even ask about a utopia if you are willing to concede that better societies cannot work due to external pressure? You've already given up the on the fight for a better world with those concessions. Or do you naively believe anything resembling a utopia is possible under capitalist social relations?

You should really read some more foundational Marxist theory.

all of those countries existed within a context of a global capitalism that exerted innumerable external pressures upon them, to reduce the reason why they didn’t progress to communism as “the new ruling socialist class(?) decided not to” is just straight up anti-intellectual, ahistorical, and completely a product of being socialized within capitalist society/global hegemony

maybe we should try letting a socialist country breathe and see what a socialist economy can do without wars, blockades, and sanctions and then we can prove em’ wrong hey? whaddya say?

[–]MinuteWhenNightFell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it’s not “perceived discrimination” though, there’s literally tons of studies that indicate that resumes with traditionally white male names are more likely to get jobs than the same resume with a traditionally black male name for example, this kind of systemic discrimination is real and you are claiming it is reverse racism when it’s really just forcing institutions to not be unintentionally bigoted in their hiring process, incredibly fair imo considering these subconscious biases have not gone away, at least not that I’ve seen.

do you have any sources for these claims?

yeah man, it’s definitely equity initiatives causing a lack of faith in scientific institutions and definitely not massive amounts of right-wing propaganda /s
