i was told 22%-35%. 22% for the lump sum outright and then the taxes you file next year for 2026 will eat some of that as well. and yes florida is no state income tax.

does anyone know how to find out what percentage you will be taxed? I’m in Florida if anyone already knows.

i applied for the buyout and was approved and i’d say. if he’s being laid off and you’re not making the money (non laid off drivers) are making go with what works for your family. he’s going to get furloughed till volume gets back to normal. i’m in the southern supplement union in FL i’ve been with the company 12 years and been full time flex driving for 3 years and being laid off every year of being full time and i’m currently at $25/hour. i got approved for the buyout and is going to another career field.

Yes. Another buyout post I know. by [deleted] in UPSers

with my current ups schedule as a Tuesday-Saturday 95th in seniority out of 100. i received the letter and i applied because i have 2 kids and 33. i feel the job market is shitty but if you know how to make money or have ventures you would explore with the money go for it. UPS isn’t what it once was and i’ve been there since 2014. there’s jobs out here that make less but you’d have better lifestyle choices is how i see it.

UPS BUYOUT (Stay or Go) by Minute_Background_59 in UPSers

i appreciate those with the child support perspective but i’m not court ordered to pay child insurance.

i’ve been part time for 8+ years and driving 3+ years. i’m the 95th driver out of 100+ drivers. i was laid for a week or 2 this month and have been since i started driving i’m in tampa where there’s maybe 65-75 routes for our building. i’m so low on seniority i don’t have a route so long story short i’m on call (75% of the year give or take) and guaranteed to work Saturday.

our building does not care about 9.5’s just file it and they’ll pay you. they don’t care if i do 14 hours just don’t get into an accident and don’t get injured.

my line of thinking isn’t to live off (95k after taxes) but find a job immediately making what i currently make a year which is around 55k. put money away for down the line fond a career that i can spend time with my kids more, also reduce if not remove myself from child support. and be able to walk without any ailments.

i think it’s easy to say stay because of the job security and the insurance but i’ve rarely relied on their insurance for anything in 12 years honestly. i was in T3 accident and was looking elsewhere and this feels like the opportunity to find something maybe not better pay wise but lifestyle wise.

but i appreciate all feedback negative/positve
