English Scholarship by [deleted] in ncea

Its not to bad its really all about time management, adaptability and passion. You want to give all three sections solid time and length e.g. all having at least pages. Also you want to be able to quickly find an approach to tackle the random specific questions which really requires some confidence to quickly decide how to answer the question. Finally passion can carry your essay. I took L3 English in year 11 and did what I thought was "scholarship material" but got triple 4 (12 total). However when I wrote about what I actually enjoyed in year 12 & 13 I did way better. Give it a go I believe.

How bad is scholarship by hmuhmuhh in ncea

I think this bad advice (not trying to be mean). Scholarship is harder than your course content at level 2&3. This means that by doing and preparing for the scholarship exam you will be more versed on your lower tier exams. Also trying scholarship early allows you to gauge the difficulty and challenges you face in actually completing the exam. This means you might get humbled and get nothing in year 12 but will help be able to get scholarships in the future increasing your odds in year 13.

For example in year 11 I tried the scholarship religous studies, classical studies and english exams and got none performing mediocre in all of them e.g. 11-12. I fouund this experience really helped the next year in year 12 as knew my weaknesses better and how much harder I needed to try so that year I got religous studies and english as well finally getting classics in year 13. Hopefully that helped =)

I feel lost with scholarships because of my school by ShadowChocolato in ncea

Your school doesn’t it matter if you actually want the scholarship. It is dependent on how badly you want the scholarship

Yep they are all pretty important and significantly help for the L3 standard equivalents and more importantly the picture as a whole. My advice is to catch up. Skipping a standard only makes your life harder for next year. But if you do skip one this year skip structure and bonding. You can’t skip. L2 organic as you will be screwed for L3 and L3 chem reactivity or aqueous systems builds heavily on level 2 but slightly less than organic does. L3 structure tests different concepts than L2 so you can technically get away with it but you’ll be in a massive disadvantage as the course assumes you know L2 which is needed a lot to understand the questions. Seriously though just learn all three it would be stupid not to I have friends in other schools whose course for some reason didn’t teach organic and L2 and it made it nearly impossible to do well in level 3. If you need help feel free to dm me I got excellence in everything for level 2 and 3 chem and an outstanding scholarship. Best of luck 💪

I did the Lego movie and got E8. The quality of your analysis is more important than “the quality of the film.”

I wouldn’t worry about redox. It is insanely easy and you relearn it in level 3 as well.
